You’ll be glad you bought this!
I was nervous because I had never done it before and because I had to cut my painting to make it smaller than it was originally. This is the largest kit (60 x 32) that was closest to the size of my painting. My other option was to have it professionally done but the quotes were $340-$360. I chose to do it myself. It was much easier than I expected and it turned out BEAUTIFULLY. I love it and plan to do others. Highly recommend this product!!

Best cheapskate idea I ever had
The Amazon guy stops by our house on a daily basis. If a day ever went by that he didn’t have a delivery for us it would be so alarming that he’d probably stop by anyway to make sure we weren’t dead. The gist of it is, we order a lot. But this is the first time I’ve ever felt inclined to write a review. I have long coveted and recently purchased a very expensive work of art. Having already spent so much on the artwork, I was unwilling to pay the extra $400 to have them gallery wrap it, so I ordered the rolled canvas and started researching DIY options to wrap it myself. After reading tons of reviews I settled on these stretcher bars. My heart was pounding out of my chest the whole time I worked on the piece, terrified that I was going to destroy my canvas, but the setup and instructions were SO easy, even I couldn’t mess them up. I ended up with a perfectly wrapped canvas with the cleanest, sharpest corners imaginable. I couldn’t be happier. If your wondering if you should order these and save yourself some money, the answer is YES!!!

Cheaper than the shop but not as satisfied
For a DIY project its not bad but after stretching the painting I noticed one side of the frame is higher than other, more like a shape of a parallelogram than a solid square when hung on the wall possibly because the brackets holding the corners are not as strong (i even added wood glue to them) , and canvas possibly pulled it unevenly somehow, maybe I did something wrong, maybe I didn’t, hard to tell, but the overall quality of the wood and the design of the brackets are lower than my expectation for a large 40x40. One of the corner wood supports split in half when screwing them in, and had to wood glue that one too,Note: Not mentioned in the description on amazon page but you will need a stapler gun as the adhesives will not be enough for larger canvas. That adds another $25 to your purchase.

Super easy & the cheaper option!
I purchased a 30x60 unstretched canvas print on etsy, and as I was searching for a place that could stretch it and trying to find out how much that would cost, I found these DIY stretcher bars. The process was super easy, even for the large size - you just need need a staple gun and basic tools. It looks beautiful, I saved myself a bunch of money, and I'm proud that I was able to easily do it myself!

Take your time and you will get perfect results.
I ordered a huge one. I think it’s 49x60. Took my time and stretched my canvas. It was a little time consuming to accurately follow the directions but I did it and it is a perfectly stretched canvas! Love it. I will order again. This is way cheaper than paying for shipping a prestretched canvas.

Easy DIY
I had purchased a large (24"x30") canvas print which I thought had come mounted on a frame, but did not. This kit made it super easy to mount the canvas so we could display without a frame. The local art supply or frame shops wanted $200-300 to do what I was able to do for a fraction of the cost. It was a little nerve racking at first so I did not ruin my print, but much easier than I thought it would be. I recommend having a large clean flat space, preferably on a carpet covered with a clean sheet to lay the canvas out on. I used a rotary knife to cut the canvas, with a cutting board under it. It also helped to have a good staple gun to attach the canvas after the frame was attached and secured with the pins. The only difficulty I had was cutting the corners, I left a little too much canvas and had to go back and trim a little more off so that the folds did not stick out so much. The canvas is still taut after several months, with no slipping. Overall, an easy DIY which saved me some money.

Easy to do and good results
I really liked this kit. The instructions were small, so I looked on YouTube, and sure enough, there was an easy to follow video. You do need a staple gun, which is not mentioned in the description, to staple the canvas edges to the frame. The adhesive keeps things in place while assembling, but the it is stapled. This gave me lovely results, way cheaper than taking it to be professionally stretched, and I would recommend this highly.
