The heat isn't strong enough for ethnic hair. It's a good tool to use when in a hurry. Can not compare to a blow dryer and flat iron.

If you're expecting this little gem to act like a hair dryer, you will be disappointed. Think of it more as a hair styler, straightening wand. It requires time to heat up same as any similar device. Once it is warmed up it will style and dry your hair in record time. I wish I had found it sooner. It's a perfect size to travel with as well.

This is such a cool hair straightener! It’s really comfortable to hold and doesn’t feel too bulky or awkwardly heavy like some others are. The heat-protective glove isn’t too sheer and actually does help, although I personally didn’t think that the brush got too hot to have to use it. It’s actually really similar to a shower exfoliating glove in texture and would probably double well as that in function. It really works for defrizzing and the two separating hair clips provided are a helpful addition to the glove and the nice carrying satchel that is included with this brush. Multiple heat settings makes it so you won’t fry your hair no matter the thickness or texture (mine is fine) and the automatic off is a really nice safety feature. It makes for a really nice soft and silky result and I am really impressed with the straightening brush especially after having trouble with straightening irons causing my think hair to get way too dry and brittle! It’s also a really good price and having read reviews for other straightening brushes, I think the Prizm straightening brush probably does a LOT better of a job than a bunch of the more expensive brands on the market. I would totally buy this as a gift for friends whom style their hair straight and enjoy flat iron straightening because they’d be in for a pleasant and really effective surprise with this brush. Worth the money, works wonderfully, helpful extras and practicality makes this straightening brush a really good choice and I am really satisfied! I am glad I chose this brush and any one whom straightens their hair should really consider purchasing it! Very cool, quick and simple to use. Never going back to using straightening irons again!

I really like the volume this adds to myHair, but I was hoping for something to dry it completely. You really have to wait for your hair to dry half way on it’s own before using this or it’s a tangly mess.

I used this blow dryer brush on my hair and my husband's hair to stretch out our hair before doing cornrows. As you can see from the photos it worked perfectly on my husband's thick curly hair. Like wow. If you have thick curly hair it is best to make sure that each strand goes through the bristles. Use both hands. A lot of people like the Revlon brush but I was concerned about the balls on the end of the bristles that people said came off in their hair, and that type of brush does not work on our curly hair, it just gets stuck. When doing my research I knew, or suspected that this would work and it really did because of how the plastic bristles are designed.

I have curly hair and by using this hair brush straightener it cut the time I spent having to flat iron my hair. Literally saved me time.

I really like this product. Its easy to use and straightens my hair perfectly. It came with a glove and I didn't think I would need it but it gets very hot so hang on to that glove so you don't burn your fingers. Its a great product. I would purchase it again....

I used this for my husband's blow out before braiding his hair. This saved so much time. I was able to dry his whole head in 30 mins. It glided through his hair. He felt no pain. I did about 3 to 4 passes 1/2 - 3/4 inch parts. Completely dry and stretched root to tip without scalp burns. I also used Design Essentials natural detangling collection. This dryer and that collection are great partners. You won't be disappointed.
