Has a nice sheen, but not super shiny. Tight enough but not super tight (holds fast where it needs too, not much (usually no) adjusting needed after each move). Color is primarily blue/purple (background) with lighter pink and yellow "lines" - so not as "rainbow-y" as you might think. However, I actually ended up liking it better than the photo! It's normal sizing for this brand - so if your child already has one of their leotards, stick with the size you usually order. For those not familiar with the sizing... My size 7/8 daughter fits perfectly in a Child Large. Would definitely recommend - pricier than Target or Walmart, but if you're looking for something more special and not as cookie cutter, this is perfect.

This leo was very nice as far as the design and the fit. My daughter tried it on and told me that it did not feel nice on her skin. We've ordered two of them (different styles, of course). One was extremely soft but this one is made of a different type of fabric that does not feel smooth to the touch. I am a little disappointed because I've never had problems with GK leotards. They are usually a perfect fit and the fabric is always very soft. I will still continue to purchase GK because they are still the best manufacturer of gymnastics' leotards.

As you can see, this Leo isn’t as bright or pink as portrayed in the advertisement. Daughter ordered an adult M, fit well. We liked the stretchiness of the Leo. The yellow is more of a gold tone. Color only matters because the event is a “pink” event.

My daughter did not like the material. She said it’s very itchy. She is an optional gymnast and trains 4 hours plus per day. This material was not good fir for her type of training.
