I think this book has a lot of good information. I haven't read in full yet but my son-in-law wants to pursue his ideas and this is a good start!

My first Nolo book and really did not disappoint.The book is well laid out,easy to follow and has excellent case studies, hints and links to external information. Integration with the Nolo web site for more information and connections (e.g. Lawyer directory) provides a very complete experience.Absolutely first class.

Highly recommend the intense reading of profiting in developing my ideas adn creating solid licensing deals. The CD (software) makes the combinations makes the book even better. The templates save thousands of dollars not having to use an attorney to create the needed legal documents from scratch. Simple consumer english and greater solid fashioned deals.

If you've invented a commercially viable product or service - especially if it's patentable - this reference book will help you with the next steps. It's much more about the legal aspects and other issues that go on AFTER you've got your golden egg and start soliciting companies, partners for licensing agreements....Definitely for serious inventors willing to persevere. I would have liked more case studies from Stim's past, but realize that confidentiality may not have allowed it.

Good introduction to topic of licensing patents. Essential reading for independent inventor trying to commercialize patented inventions, also advice regarding dealing with yet unpatented ideas.
