Yes you can and it is awesome. My grandson is very protective and will not let me hit it too hard, but we fight.

Hello. You probably won't find any replacement polycarbonate blades for the emperor palpatine Force FX elite lightsaber, unless you try checking out on eBay. Since they are removable blades, it is possible for someone to sell theirs online. But chances are slim to none.

So assuming you have already inserted the x3 AA batteries at the bottom of the hilt, the red button will display blaster bolt deflections with a press at a time. Holding the red button gives you the wall/blast door/ceiling-cutting effect at the tip. Then by pressing the green button ignites the lightsaber to red. If you hold the green button, a Force Lightning effect will replace the red and pulse down the blade as long as you hold it until the red returns when released. Finally to turn off, simply press the green button once again.

Q: Is the blade glass like or does it look like plastic?

It looks like plastic. It has a layer of white filament, hiding the bulbs, on the inside. You cannot see throw the blade. This Darth Sidious version can remove the blade for displaying.
