Potassium Hydroxide - KOH Flakes - Caustic Potash - 2 Pound Bag - Ecoxall Chemicals

Ordered for making soap and it works fine for what I wanted to do.

I am a soap maker. I’ve been making liquid soap for many years. This was my first time using this brand of potassium hydroxide. I made four batches of hot process soap using two different liquid soap recipes with this brand and every batch turned solid once the soap cooled. At first I thought I was making a mistake somewhere, reviewed my recipes and steps, remade the batches and each time I had the same result. All of my other ingredients are from the same suppliers I’ve always used. I am meticulous and careful about the processes I use. This is the first time I’ve ever had these problems and at this point I’m convinced there is something wrong with this brand of potassium hydroxide. In the bag it looks fine but it did dissolve very slowly compared to other brands and the end product is not as it should be. I had a half bottle of another brand and decided to make a batch using that and my liquid soap came out perfectly. I hate to leave a poor review but by using this product I have had money and time wasted. Do not buy.
