I was a little scared to buy this from some of the reviews but I received it today and it works perfect.the ports seem to be in order of priority. So port one I set to be an Xbox one and port two is set for a Nintendo switch. If you have the Xbox on and turn on the Nintendo you lose the Xbox input and when you turn off the switch or undock it it automatically goes back to xbox. This is great for the Nintendo switch. It's so convenient for the sake of just unlocking the switch to handheld mode and your TV going back to cable or Xbox or whatever l. This product makes me glad my tv only has one hdmi port. I highly recommend it for any hdmi use and the convenience of its auto switch features especially if you have a Nintendo switch.

Great product for a great price.
Now I would have given it 4 or 4.5 stars but my reasoning still gives it 5 stars. Great product for one. Very useful if you have limited HDMI ports on your TV. One really cool feature that I like about this is that it auto detects what is on and switches to that port. One negative thing would be that it has not remote itself to switch from ports 1-3 but that is here nor there. Probably just laziness so with that in mind, this product works very well, no loss in quality of video or audio signal. Product is very inexpensive so that is a huge plus. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that needs extra HDMI ports for their TV.

Not worth it, pay more for better quality...
Works great and I actually never even need to push the button. I use this for my PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. I highly recommend this item. This was true for about 3 days and then I started to have many issues. I had to return the item because it wouldn't work. The inputs would flash between HDMI 2 & 3. I tried with only one HDMI in and still wouldn't work. Stay away from this brand. I know many people say it works well, but personally, I would rather pay more to avoid returns and calls to Amazon.

good price value
this is a great unit as it has pigtail HDMI connection which is a plus. the only concern is whether your devices have enough power operate the switch. I had to power up my DVD every time i wanted to use the fire stick as it did not provide enough power and the DVD would then override the the firestick after i powered it up and i had to manually press the button on the switch. it may work for other devices but not a smooth switch transition with firestick.

Unusable; intermittent sound and sub-par picture quality...
This device did its job in the most basic way: allowing you to connect multiple inputs to a single output. I bought this item in order to run my Xbox One and PS4 thru my Samsung soundbar since the soundbar only has one input/output for HDMI. The splitter worked when I hooked everything up, however, the sound and picture quality on both the Xbox One and PS4 were both terrible. The sound would cut in and out intermittently, and the picture on the screen had static and dead pixels showing up at random. As soon as I went back to my original setup, i.e. Xbox One HDMI into soundbar and HDMI out to TV, the picture and sound quality were back to normal. I will be returning this item after the holiday.

Okay, For The Most Part
EDIT: The paragraph below describes my initial problem. I think I know why it's giving me this issue. Both my PS4 and PS3 have to be connected to power for this thing to work. If I unplug the PS3 and just have the PS4 powered, it gives me the blinking. Even if the HDMI cord is pulled out or plugged in, I'm assuming the switched doesn't have enough power running to it, which just one console on. So I plugged the power into my PS3 again and it worked fine. Still not that great if I have to have both of them powered, but at least I know now it's not broken.I originally bought this to have at work to switch between my work laptop and my PS4 to feed into my TV. Didn't work. So I thought, I'll take it home and just use it to switch between my PS3 and PS4 there. Worked okay for about a month, then the third HDMI port started flickering on as if it was trying to switch to it. Only thing is, I only had things plugged into 1 and 2. So it was preventing my TV from locking onto the first two. I unplugged it and after about a week of it being unplugged, I thought I'd try it again. Worked great for the next few months and just today it started doing the same thing to me. Not sure what's going on, but this to me is a faulty product.

Once I went on Amazon your device once too easy to find
I just recently switched from cable TV to Fios which uses an hdmi port. This left me with one port on my tv but I have two more devices to hook up. I started looking around for a new TV with 3 ports. Then I said there's gotta be a device I can get for this problem. Once I went on Amazon your device once too easy to find. I wasn't sure how it would work. But a few days later it came and I couldn't believe how easy it was to hook up and use. Saved me hundreds of dollars I would have needlessly spent on another tv. AS ADVERTISED!! PERFECT!! THANKS!!

Excellent for multiple game consoles at 1080p.
Just to clarify: This device switches between 3 HDMI inputs and sends one of them to a single HDMI output. The unit is unpowered, and uses the power channel of the HDMI cable to run the switch itself. There are 3 red lights on the top of the unit that correspond to the input currently connected, with a single button to manually switch between the inputs, when necessary, as the unit will switch to the most recently powered on device connected. Max input resolution is 1080p/60Hz (or 50Hz). The output cable is only a couple feet long, which was perfect to position it where I wanted under my TV and still connect without tension. Was tested with 3 modern consoles connected simultaneously, Sony Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo Switch. All 3 consoles automatically caused the switch to turn to their respective input smoothly. I noticed no extra lag or loss of fidelity or color. The only drawback I found is that the input setting on my Samsung TV have a hard time keeping their custom settings, mainly names. The actual images were still just fine, but it will not recognize that you've switched inputs to something it already "knew". Just something to expect, but not the switches fault. No idea on device longevity yet though.Would recommend for anyone needing to connect multiple HDMI consoles to their TV.
