The Adventures of Nanny Piggins (Nanny Piggins, 1)

My children LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Nanny Piggins and her unorthodox shenanigans! She gets the kids into just enough trouble to be hilarious, but it comes in the most heartfelt way. My kids can't stop giggling and beg me to keep reading these books over and over. I definitely recommend this entire series! I also LOVE that though these books are meant for elementary aged kids, the book level is right around 6th grade, making these books perfect for GT kids as well.

We are huge fans of Nanny Piggins! The narrative is hilarious to read (aloud preferably!) with kids. I find it less sinister than Lemony Snickett (and funnier too). What's not to love about the world's most glamorous pig, recently left from the circus to become the nanny of 3 children. We have read the entire series multiple times.

Our family loves these books. This is the first in the collection. We read the stories out loud so the whole family can enjoy the stories. Love that each chapter is a story. This is a higher reading level. No romance, no swearing, no violence (Other than an occasional chomping of shins).

My kids, 9 and 13, love this series and keep rereading these books. We have had the first three books in the series checked out multiple times and renewed them over and over. At a certain point, we just need our own copies. Great humor series that adults can enjoy as well as kids!

Nanny piggins is a great book with really funny jokes i would say this book is for third graders to fifth graders because the pages are long and some words are hard. Each chapter is a new adventure like every chapter is one little story. The genre for this book are action adventure comedy so go to the story and buy nanny piggins today!

Nanny piggins is rude and I think teaches bad lessons for children. I get that it is supposed to be light-hearted fun, but I still couldn’t keep reading it to my kids. 6, 11, and 13. Mostly I didn’t want to keep reading it to my 6 year old.

Such a fun series! I look forward to bedtime reading just as much as the kids with these books!

Fantastic bedtime reading with my 8 year old! These stories are well written and riotously funny. We quickly transitioned from me reading to her to her reading to me, then her sneakily reading it own her own during the daytime. Great for reluctant readers of either sex.

the Nanny Piggins books are such fun to read; I enjoyed reading this with my daughters and am now eager to order the others once the paperbacks are back in stock.

Love this series. My own kids beg for me to read it every night. It is laugh out loud funny.As a teacher though I would say, kids need to be at a high reading level to understand it properly. Grade 5 and up for comprehension. DRA 50 plus.
