Our favorite Hero!
My daughter is obsessed with Amelia, and this just happened to be the best gift idea for her Easter basket!

Too wordy for a children's book; puns and wordplay too forced.
I seriously loved Frida Catlo, and so I was looking forward to this book. Amelia Earhart was one of my childhood heroes, so I looked forward to sharing her history with my little one. "Amelia Harehart", however, has too much on a page. It is too complex for a child. The puns and wordplay rely too much on the word "hop"-- hopping (literal), hoppy (happy), hopular (popular), hopital (hospital), hopstacle (obstacle), hopped on a plane (literal), hop to new heights (literal), hoppily (happily), and hop on in our memories (literal, I guess?). the reliance on "hop" seemed a little lazy compared to the wordplay in "Frida Catlo." The quality of the book's production is very good: it is sturdy and will withstand nibbles, spills, and tugs. I won't be buying copies as gifts for friends, though. Some word play is confusing: a storm “burrowing” isn’t the same as a storm brewing.

Proper format for the age is important to me.
This story is like the Shakespeare story. The format does not match the age of the child. The reader might enjoy the book more than the child. Often the page must be turned before it is all read to the toddler. The thick pages are not appropriate for the child old enough to read themselves.
