Just recently purchased this item was working did update for app xmeye. Now will not connect on my mobile device constantly says device not online. Contacted jennov they are putting blame on my network service. Read google play store for reviews on app I'm not the only one with problem. Company refuses to acknowledge problem. No longer have mobile access do not buy till they fix problem

The system works however, you must use compatible cameras or some features won't work. For example motion detect. Even when using their Jennov POE camera, the camera configuration from the NVR screws up the actual camera motion detect settings. I had to go to the camera each time to reset it. If you want to adjust advanced motion detect settings on a Jennov connected camera it WILL BLOW AWAY your schedule and camera scan area every time. I have been messaging back and forth with the vendor but no resolution so far. Hoping that a NVR firmware will fix the problem with their own cameras. Even when it seems to be set up right, it won't record more than 10 seconds on motion detect, even when I've set it to 60 seconds. Again, waiting for vendor response. Unfortunately it's the Chinese new year...

I have this connected to our frontier Internet cable router in our house, I am constantly pulling out my phone and bragging about how awesome it is and the fact that I only paid $52 for it, don’t forget to also buy the hard drive for $40.I’ve been in the security video industry for over 30 years and have worked with a lot of products, although it isn’t the easiest GUI to work with for what you get it is truly a great purchase.

Replaced my old Zmodo with this and it works better because this one does what is says. The HDMI cable and length of it is worth 15 bucks alone so good bonus. Had this working for 24 hours a day and bought it 2 years ago. Still going strong. Good product.

My DVR just failed 4 months into the purchase. When it did work it was great with the exception of the cell phone app. When it was connected to WiFi it worked OK. However, when you had to use your cell phone provider internet to access the cameras, 90% of the time it did not connect to them. I noticed you had to be in an area with great LTE connection to work. Now, the DVR is powered on but does not provide an image to my TV. I guess I got what I paid for.

This thing is junk. I am just getting around to buying a new one so I thought I should take the time to warn others. This unit quit working within two months. There is nothing you can do to fix it, at first two channels went down and now its all four. Cheap cheap cheap, you get what you pay for.

So far so good. Very easy setup. Install of HD very easy (purchased separate) includes screws. Used inexpensive IP cameras from Amazon ((Hosafe))

This unit is constantly down. I have only had it for 2 months and I would say it stayed working 50% of the time.
