I was looking for a way to make our kindling look less messy by our fireplace. When I collect kindling I put it in TidyCat buckets and those small black bins with yellow lids that you can get at Costco. They are very unsightly inside, but work great for storage in our shed until needed. I was able to simply place one of each of those containers directly inside of this container. They fit perfectly and now the area looks much nicer. The item had a couple of threaded bolts that had some issue, but I was able to get it assembled with a little effort. I agree that this item would not be weatherproof, but it works great indoors.

Love the size, look and sturdiness. I bought it for package delivery and am so disappointed that it leaks with every rain. Still plan to keep it, and will try to find some way to make the top more waterproof.

BUYER BEWARE! THIS ITEM IS NOT WATERPROOF! EVERYTHING I PUT IN IT GOT SATURATED!*UPDATE - I attempted to get my money back after I discovered it was not waterproof. The box had been assembled and put in use outside on my patio for at least three weeks before it rained. Even then I did not check the contents. I thought it was a fluke. Again, I believed the advertising and thought I must have let it open a crack or something. Took everything out. Dried it off and let it sit in the sun for a bit. Cleaned out the inside and repacked. (One thing in the box did get ruined - Cost of item $85.00!) Next time it rained I checked and once again it all was very wet!After the seller agreed to take back the deck box because everything got wet, they wanted me to disassemble it, find a suitable box and proper packaging to return it. I had neither. I asked them to send me the correct size box and suitable packaging and they would not. Unless I sent back the box. I asked for my money back because of false advertising. They denied my request.MORAL OF THE STORY: If a seller advertises an item as waterproof and you purchase said item. Don't trust them. If you do, after you put together your new box, spray it with a water hose to see if it gets wet inside. Then take it back apart and ask for your money back.I do not usually get this fired up about stuff like this but an item I put in the box was ruined AND I do not like being lied to. I also firmly believe Amazon should hold their sellers to a high standard in advertising. So, now I have an outdoor deck box that I have no use for.The Amazon AtoZ Guarantee also denied my claim. Not sure why because false advertising is a pretty big thing to me.Otherwise, if you have no intention of putting this box outside, you’ll have a very nice little black aluminum box.

100% NOT waterproof. Expect anything you store in here to get wet to the point of being completely saturated. I guess the bottom is waterproof because it hold all the water that penetrates the box. So what ever you store in this is not only wet through and through, it ends up sitting in water.

Decent box; not too hard to assemble. Looks good. But water enters easily, soaking the contents.

Loved this storage unit in the patio, very straightforward to put to together and can store cushions as we would like to. Love it
