Classic stuff, best you can get
I'll say first, I am one who HATES the smell of Hoppes 9. It gives me a headache after a while.That being said, I've used Hoppes 9 since I cleaned my first gun, somewhere in the 80s. It's safe, effective, inexpensive, and can be found anywhere. I've never not been able to clean a gun with 9. There may be other products that can do a deeper clean, or perhaps more of a copper remover if your barrel is heavily copper fouled.....but still, this WILL work and clean your gun.This is the only gun cleaner I will ever own.

Hoppe's No. 9 Gun Bore Cleaning Solvent, 1-Quart BottleHoppe’s number 9 has been around since 1903. When I started shooting, this was pretty much it when it came to bore cleaners. Many products came on the market and after trying some, I continued with Hoppe’s No. 9.For my gun cleaning purposes, this remains the best product. I have a compensator for one pistol and it gets badly fouled over time. I just drop it in a pill bottle, fill it with Hoppe’s and let it sit for a few days. The lead dissolves and when removed, I have very little left to scrape off. There have also been many homemade remedies, but Hoppe’s is great at cleaning and dissolving residue.My wife doesn’t care for the scent, but I do not find it a problem. I joked with her that I wanted an air freshener made from it. She does stay out of the room when I am gun cleaning. A bonus maybe?The quart bottle is plastic so, you don’t have to worry about it breaking. The value of getting the quart bottle, as opposed to smaller bottles, is very good

Good bore cleaner...works really well.
Great bore cleaner...works really well. A little goes a long way and this bottle should last forever. Use this on long guns as well as pistols.

Good stuff
Good stuff. Used Hoppe's products for many, many many years on a variety of firearms from 100+ years old to more recent acquisitions. . Never had an issue. HOWEVER, AMAZON shipping almost had a major problem. Somehow the lid for the Hoppe's came loose and some dribbled out. Fortunately not much, just enough to discolor the box. If the contents of the bottle had dribbled out an entire shipment could have been contaminated. Not good.

Yup, that's the good stuff.
