Panther Martin PMR Classic Regular Teardrop Spinners Fishing Lure

Panther Martin is known for making lures that work. I have had pretty good success with this particular lure, but the paint has chipped off. I'm hoping that paint issue is a fluke

I have used about ever price level of these style lures, and for my money Panther Martin every time. They swim correct, which a lot of cheap lures do not. On cheaper brands, the entire body rotates, or sometimes the blades don't turn correctly or at all... These PM's are the best for me. I use the 1/8oz for top water (0-2 feet). I use the 1/4oz for mid water and even to the bottom for big bass. I've caught largemouth and smallmouth bass, white bass, crappie, bluegills, and catfish on them.

Panther Martin makes a great selection of quality lures, however, due to the design of this spinner, it require a fast retrieval to get effective spin. Other spinners, such as Rooster Tails, do not require such fast motion, giving them an advantage when it comes to available "strike time". These are effective, but a slower retrieval is always better for any spinner. I wish I could say otherwise, but there are more effective spinners, at better prices. Also, the body of the lure slides up and down the "shaft" before it ever hit the water. Overall quality is questionable. I wish I could say otherwise.

I was told to get this yellow lure before I went to Yellowstone . I caught a 27 in trout ! It’s the only spinner bait I use there . It works !
