Maybe part of the day. We ended up using them to decorate a treasure chest.

My husband hasn't used his yet. But I'm guessing they're like any other sticker. I think as long as you take care of them and keep them clean, they'll last a long time. I cover mine with waterproofing to help keep them. Whether it's clear duct tape, laminate paper or spray. It's up to you how you want to prolong them. :)

They adhere okay to a metal surface. They have come off our metal water bottles more easily that some other similar stickers over time.
