Quality & Sturdiness
Received my PGYTECH Beetle Camera Clip today and paired it with another item I purchased to mount my iPhone 12 Pro Max to my backpack. The quick release plate was easy enough to remove as well as tighten with the provided tool in the box. The clip itself is extremely sturdy as it's made of metal and has three clamp levels so you can make sure it can fit your backpack straps. Once it was on there I tried it on walking around with my laptop and a few other items in my backpack. (You'll want to make sure that it sits nicely on the backpack straps as the clamp can feel like it's digging into your chest when you're making arm movements.) I found it difficult to remove the clip after I was done but because it was difficult to remove, I found that was actually a good thing. It kept my iPhone 12 Pro Max tightly in place and it's a great product. Only reason why I gave it a 4/5 value for the money is that it's still quite expensive. however, it's still a few dollars cheaper than the peak design 3.0 camera clip which is about $74.99.

Secure, quick, and easy
Really solid little part! Very quick and easy to clip/unclip the camera from, and very secure. I've used it in a number of settings, but my favorite so far is sticking my X-H1 to my belt while I'm out and about. Because of how the latch works you need to take the belt off to secure the clip, but after that it's solid, even with a larger Mirrorless body and long lens.

Awesome product. Quick and easy to use.
This is slick!! I have it mounted on my backpack shoulder strap. The camera fits securely in the holder and slides out very easy as well. This keeps my camera available at all times and it does not get in the way while doing more strenuous or technical hiking. Highly recommended.

Pretty Good Clip System
Amazing camera clip system! I love using this clip system out on shoots when I don’t want to use an annoying strap system or have to set the camera down. In my application I use it on my hip/waistband. Mounted on a very firm belt on my waist. Pros: the system is very robust and well build. Lock switch mechanism is very strong. You can yank on the whole system and it will not move or come out. Lock and unlock is very smooth and secure. The base plate that attaches to your camera body is very stable and well built. Cons: the only potential failure point I see in the whole system is the very small metal bar that connects the clip to whatever attachment point you put it on. While mine is already starting to bend, I have seen cases in which the metal bar completely failed and broke in half. Long term durability and reliability is to be determined. Overall: the system is great, fast, slick and secure. For the price you pay it is worth giving it a try. However, if I lost or broke mine today I would be hard pressed to buy another or try out a different system.

Love this thing
This clip is great. I am actually working to find new places to use it... my latest.. to take the weight off my shoulders when my long/heavy lens starts to wear on my back after a long day in the field. It also is great for holding that long lens on my backpack strap (or belt) when I need to switch to another lens for some reasons. I wish I could clip my shorter lens to it so it was ready to go also.. but that is a limitation of the lens, not this clip (no tripod foot). To reuse what I saw over and over again.. "It changed the way I work in the field" The only downside and it's minor, and a testament to how well built it is... I find opening the clip to be difficult and kind of hurts my fingers... but that is a sing that it is on very sturdy and isn't going to fall open on it's own.

PGYTECH Camera Clip - Worth it(?)
I was skeptical about how much I really needed this device. I had purchased this to take with me to the beach, as I knew I wanted to be hands free at times, and my current camera strap is too in the way for my liking. I use one of those diagonal straps, which is fine a lot of times, but I still find myself holding on to my camera constantly with it. Functionality: I used this on the strap of my camera bag. It's one of those generic cheap amazon camera backpacks that there's 100 copies of, maybe you have one, maybe you don't, which is fine, because this also worked on my other 2 backpacks I had lying around. It worked great on the trails. I wasn't jumping around or anything, and I trusted it as far as I trusted the strap of my bag to stay on. I would use it on my belt, but anything attached to my belt drives me crazy, especially a bulky full frame camera. You micro 4/3's photographers might make out on that one, but I think I would still be annoyed even with my old olympus attached to my belt. That's just me though, maybe you don't mind that kind of thing. The clip closes securely to whatever strap I put it on, the baseplate doesn't come loose from the camera, and the camera fits securely onto the clip. No complaints here. Just be cautious that you don't close it too tightly like I did at first, because it can be a pain to get off again. By the way, use a lens hood when wearing this. Drawbacks: The clip worked great at the beach. I could put my camera away and use both of my hands at will. However, I hate walking around with a backpack as it makes me sweat like crazy in the summer, even after a few minutes. If you have a backpack that breathes nicely, and you're going to be wearing the backpack anyway, then this is for you. I, however, am constantly at odds about how much I will be annoyed with carrying a backpack around, just for the sake of being able to be fully hands free with my camera. That's the biggest compromise with this clip, personally, as I like going on short hikes with the most reduced possible configuration. I also found it to be a little awkward to clip and unclip my camera, but it was just that- a little awkward, and no big deal. Bottom line: If you want to free your hands occasionally, keep your camera secure and out of the way, spend less than the premium brand, and if you already intend to use a backpack- then absolutely, yes, this is for you.

BEST MOUNT EVER
This is such a good purchase if you like bringing your camera on adventures and want to keep your hands free throughout. The clip adjusts easily to backpack straps and snaps on securely. The included camera mount plate slides in and out of the quick-release clip effortlessly and can stay on your camera even when not using the clip. Clipping the camera on and off is super easy. I still keep my camera strap on for safety when it’s unclipped, but it’s amazing not having to hold the camera while keeping it close to my body. The clip is very small and is barely noticeable at all (see first picture). Highly recommend for hikers, travelers, or anyone who wants hands-free convenience with their camera.
