Typical Gardena quality. There are only two spray settings - shower, which I use 95% of the time - and a “tap” setting, this is much more useful than most spray gun settings because it is a relatively gentle, aerated flow that doesent blast the compost out of containers. The only additional setting that I would like to see is a ‘mist’ setting to humidify my grow houses.The variable flow knob adjusts from 100% to around 25% (pretty much perfect), the trigger is easy to use and the ‘lock on’ switch is just about usable with the one hand.As for the claim that this is frost resistant, I find that hard to believe but I will update this review after next winter (I ALWAYS forget to bring my spray lances indoors early enough). If it is then I will be buying a few more.EDIT- So, as usual I forgot to bring this indoors but it has survived 2 winters undamaged. I have stopped using all my other lances in favour of this. I’m buying more now.Further edit - Now have 4 of these and they last very well. The shower holes do tend to get limescaled up after a few months but a 30 minute soak in vinegar or citric acid easily restores them.

I bought this lance for my 87 year old mother (along with some other Gardena items (purchased separately through Amazon). My choice for Gardena being that my hose, reel and attachments are still working after some 20 years! Sadly for my mother though, her Gardena Lance has failed and now leaks badly when the trigger is off or on. I don’t think 2 years of relatively light use by my mum sheds this item in good light. I’d like a replacement for my mum from Amazon as a good will gesture even if it might be considered to be outside of any standard guarantee period. Our lance may be an exception to Gardena’s normal standards but we are both very disappointed.

Gardena war mal bekannt für gute Qualität!Leider ist das schon der 2 der schon nach nicht mal 1 Jahr Defekt ist. Tropft aus den Plastik ritzen.Wozu noch Teure Gardena kaufen wenn man für ein drittel des Preises gleichwertige Produkte bekommt.Diese kann man dann auch Jährlich Neu kaufen.

Why didn't I purchase one of these sooner!...it’s an excellent piece of kit for watering baskets !, it stops the need for stretching up with the watering can and ending up pouring it down your arm and soaking you through . The fact you can also alter the force of the water spray helps when watering delicate plants . It fitted straight onto the hosepipe no bother , it’s been a perfect buy for me and I’ve already had my monies worth from it . It’s sturdy and looks like it will last for sometime .

I'd been after a lance style sprayer for some time as the standard trigger sprayers are not that useful in the greenhouse or when you want to water pots.After looking at what was available this had good reviews, wasn't a bad price and looked sturdy. I was impressed with the build quailty when it arrived and it's very easy to use. It only has 2 different jet settings, unlike a more standard spray gun that normally come with lots of different patterns. But you only really need the 2 included as they are a shower type pattern and a single jet for reaching further away things. You also have a power adjustment lever to control the speed of water, which works really well when you don't want to blast smaller planets and all their soil out of their pots, and you can lock the trigger into an on position if you are watering a whole border.I would definitely recommend it. Great for the greenhouse as you can reach behind other plants to water directly into each pot, and control the amount and power of water being delivered.
