Elite Screens 12" Black Projector Screen L-Brackets, Reinforced Single Metal Welded Construction, Wall or Ceiling Mount - Includes Hooks and Hardware, Model: ZVMAXLB12-B

I bought these for hanging my  Elite Screens Spectrum, 100-inch Diag 16:9, Electric Motorized 4K/8K Ready Drop Down Projector Screen, ELECTRIC100H  from the ceiling. I purchased from Elite Screens themselves so I knew I was getting the right ones and not some knock-off alternative version. They are well made and did the job.

Not much to say they work exactly as designed. No issues installing and support our 144” video screen without issues as well.

Very sturdy. They are holding a 125" motorized screen out in front of a wall mounted 65" TV. This is a perfect option for giving us the flexibility of being able to go back and forth between our projector and our 4K TV. The mounts are built very well and there is no movement at all when the screen is going up and down, nor is there any indication that they are under any strain. I did use lag bolts as apposed to the mounting screws provided for an extra sense of security for me.

Brackets work great. Mounting hardware will need to be changed though - the ones supplied don't look good enough to hold up - but that is a perception and I didn't want to take a risk.Was delivered to India by Amazon Global with no hassles.

I used these in conjunction with a 125" Spectrum tab tension 2 screen.A local handyman installed them and could not use a stud since it was an exterior wall. Instead he used toggle bolts instead of the supplied drywall anchorsOver time the weight pulling on the bracket pulled out all of the drywall and the screen came crashing down. Almost destroyed my TV and game consoles on its way down. Chipped up my furniture and speakers and bent the frame of the projector screen.Do not use these unless they are firmly installed in a stud. It's my own fault for trusting toggle bolts in drywall, but do not assume this will work in anything but a stud.

Sorry I am not hanging such an expensive screen I am not using such cheap hardware. So be prepared to have to go get some decent toggle bolts if you cannot find studs. I was able to get a stud for one side, but still needed to use some good screws to sink in 3". For the other side I ended up using way better and more expensive toggle bolts to secure it.

Perfect solution to clear my fireplace mantle. Solid and easy to install with all necessary hardware.

..... This is a great product. Excellent black paint coating. Excellent flexibility in design. These hangers have three screw slot-holes along the short base of the hanger which gives you the added feature of moving the hanger up or down several inches along the wall if you need to raise or lower one end of the projector screen. The longer part of this hanger has a slot running down almost the full length of the metal, which allows you to move the projector screen in or out from the wall horizontally, up to about 12 inches of travel from the wall. I bought the twelve inch model and certainly glad that I did because the six inch model of this hanger would have been way too short. This ELITE SCREEN - 12 inch hanger has the best flexibility in design, to allow you to move or adjust the projector screen-housing, in case the wall your hanging the screen on is crooked in some way. I looked at other projection screen hangers, but they do not have the same flexibility as this ELITE SCREEN hanger. Glad I bought it.

This review is for the black 12" brackets. The brackets themselves seem to be good. As others have mentioned the hardware is not. I didn't believe this at first so I actually tried to use the provided screws to insert into the studs. The first screw got in 2/3 of the way and then sheared right off when some resistance was encountered. I went out and bought some lag bolts (35 cents each) and everything went better from there (pre-drilled the holes). And definitely put these in studs if at all possible (especially for heavier loads). Use a stud detector (not very expensive and so worthwhile). I am wondering if I should have also replaced the carabiners... Keep in mind that if you need the screen to be 12" from the wall these brackets will not likely do it as the hooks on most(?) screens are inset. The screen (120" motorized elunevision) ended up being around 11" off of the wall.
