Uncle Iroh would approve
This company makes great Jasmine Pearls. Although pricey, it is a very good product. I drink a cup daily. This time, instead of buying the canaster, I bought it from the bag to refill my canaster. When I opened the bag, the fragrance was not as concentrated as in the canaster packaging, but the tea was still good. I would charge the company with examining their packaging to be certain it is not taking anything from the tea itself. My only negative comment is in regards to shipping (I did give shipping feedback as well). The product was "shipped" on 4/2 and due to arrive sometime between 4/8 and 4/12; it did not arrive until 4/13. While not world ending, I did find this rather annoying given the date it was actually shipped. On further investigation, I learned this may have been an error in shipping date rather than the delivery mechinisms themselves. However, it did get here and now, as Uncle Iroh says, "we can all enjoy a nice cup of tea!"

Not quite a pound was in the bag
For how small the big is and it's not quite a pound in the bag I think it should be just slightly cheaper but then again it might have just been an error on how they were packing that day or something like that so no biggie. Still really great quality and packaging.

Very mild smelling bitter green tea
Barely any Jasmine scent. Tea is bitter even when brewed mild. Not expected of a green tea. For the price paid, this Jasmine pearl tea is not worth it. Pretty poor quality from a well known tea brand. Numi made a better Jasmine pearl tea but the brand discontinued the product so I was looking for a replacement product. Definitely not worth it.

great tea
My family loves this tea. We used to buy it from our local co-op, but I found that it is much more economical to get the 1-lb bag through Amazon. (We probably go through 3-5 cups/day on a regular basis.) Last winter I also purchased a couple of canisters of the Rishi Organic Jasmine Pearl tea, for gifts and to take on travel, but I really couldn't taste any difference to justify the difference in cost. I have found that I can get a really good cup of tea using 7-8 pearls in a large mug, with a generous spoonful of honey. I just let the leaves unfold in the cup and stay there while the water cools down enough to drink. Connoisseurs might cringe at this technique but I find it really handy for commuting because I can pour the hot water into a travel mug with the pearls and honey and then run out the door without waiting for the tea to steep or having to worry about how to dispose of a dripping tea bag halfway in on my commute.

Excellent tea - but carefully prepare it!
This is the best organic jasmine green tea I can find. (My favorite tea overall is Jasmine hand rolled pearls, which has a more "jasmine" flavor - but really, that is a different type of tea). Keep in mind that for green tea, the leaves are more delicate than black, so you have to be very careful with how you prepare it, or else it will be very bitter. I often just heat up water to about 180 degrees and drop the tea in (within a diffuser) and leave it there. But I like it very strong. You may want to heat it up a little higher and then take it out in a few minutes. Experiment to get your favorite flavor:)

So happy with this tea guys. So worth it.
Great tea. Makes the most fragrant cup of Jasmine tea. Super calming and relaxing. I use 5-7 pearls. You definitely don't need many for a good cup of tea from these.

Dregs and Dust
Where is the jasmine in this tea? I can't smell or taste it at all. The tins are full of broken stems and leaves, plus a lot of dust. I use an infuser AND a strainer and still wind up with dust in the liquor. The flavor of the tea is not bad. It's a straight up, not too vegetal green. Wait, I'm being too generous. I haven't gagged on it, but it really doesn't taste good. It's just not awful. It's kind of like making yourself get used to Nestea instead of buying a good black tea. I've bought it before because it's cheap. Now I remember why I didn't come back for more.I can see this cha being served in a Chinese prison. Just don't. It isn't worth it. If you're going to take the time to brew loose leaf tea, you deserve better.
