Good Housekeeping All-Metal 12" Retro Table Fan, Brushed Nickel

I was drawn to this fan because it was all metal and looks a little retro/classic. On medium speed, the fan puts out a good amount of air and is fairly quiet considering (this is not a Dyson hahaha). The higher setting is louder but that can be nice if you're looking for a little white noise while sleeping or meditating. My husband is a little jealous so we may be getting a second one.

I bought this fan to replace a 30+ year old model and was delighted with how nice it looked and how quiet it was compared to any fan we own. The fan is just as well made as the one that we had before and looks great in our historic home. In fact, one of our friends was so impressed she purchased one and is just as happy with hers as we are with ours. Thank you Hunter Fans for continuing to make such a great and quality product. Amazon delivered as expected with no issues.

Purchased two of the brushed nickel fans, and was pleasantly surprised that they have a 5 year warranty. Assembly was easy. The fans are relatively quiet, and operate quite smooth. The retro look is great, and made from metal. Happy with my purchase.

I wanted a quality solid metal fan "Made in America" like in the 80's, but selection is limited and most are sub par made over seas thin replicas. The Vornados look nice, but are way overpriced for the oscillating model.Therefore, I ordered a 17" Bronze Metal Lasko fan. That fan looks nice, but suffers from rattle hum noise and I returned it. Then I ordered the Deco Breeze 10" Silver Whisper Quiet and it arrived scratched at the base with rub noise from the cable stretching too tight, while oscillating. That model got returned and I ordered another one hoping that it was just a fluke. So, the Second Deco Breeze has no scratches, but the oscillation function is noisy and the bird logo cover has a splotch that failed the plating process, therefore that model also went back to Amazon.OK, now for the Hunter Retro 12" Nickel Fan. The first Hunter fan order has the motor assembly misaligned, so that it ramp speeds up and slows down during oscillations and is especially noticeable after reaching max rotation toward the right. So I put the Hunter fan back in the box and returned it. Finally, I ordered another Hunter Retro 12" Nickel fan; telling myself I will live without a fan if they are not quality control inspected anymore. I got the fan today and am glad to report that I finally got a metal fan that oscillates smoothly, without hum, rattle, vibrations, or scratches : )Final thoughts: Although this fan is made over seas, it is one of the better recognizable brands. Also, buy Ships from Amazon and Sold by Amazon, for an easy no hassle returns process. Otherwise, other vendors may make you jump through hoops and take a long time refunding your money for their faulty products. Thank you for following along on my fan journey 💜

Purchased to replace an old Casablanca Zephair which has recently stopped working. This was a 2nd generation Casablanca, with components made in China, so its no great surprise that it broke down. Having used the Hunter for a few days, and considering its price, lighter weight, and equally classy appearance, I honestly consider the Hunter to be the superior fan. How well it holds up is yet to be determined, but after the untimely demise of our $2,000? Casablanca, I'll be happy if this survives anywhere near as long it's 5 year warranty! One final point: The Hunter's front cage is removeable with a single screw, which should make periodic cleaning (pardon the pun), a breeze. Cleaning the Casablanca was a real chore, and required the removal of at least a dozen nuts before the grill could be removed...

I bought this fan twice. The first did not work at all when I got it so I returned it for a new one. The second just stopped working and I've and I've had it for less than a year. What a piece of junk. Do not buy this fan. It looks nice but that's about all it has going for it. Meanwhile the ugly floor fan I've had for years and years continues to work just fine.

I have three of these fans that have been running for a decade or more. So I bought another.I expected the new fan to be a cheaper, more plastic version of my older fans.To my surprise that was not the case. It appears to have the same level of quality construction, ease of assembly, and runs just as quietly as the other fans.

Bought 3 different fans at CVS and target. Every single one came out of the box broken, and had to be returned.This fan is well-built and stylish. I think it will last a long time!

I bought this on May 5th, On May 31st, it stopped working entirely. This company sold me a faulty fan that couldn't even last a single month before quitting entirely. Do not buy this.

This fan died after 6 months. Not money well spent. And no way to get warranty on it that I can see.
