Electric Vehicle Charger Portable EVSE - USA Level 1 J1772 110V 25' Residential Station for EV Charging

Everyone else has pretty much covered it—it's a sturdy thing, seems built to last, seems a bit tight when you plug it in, so it's a little tricky to get connected and disconnected. I like to leave the OEM cord plugged in at home so I can just pull up and plug in the car, so an extra one is nice to take with me on overnight trips, if I find a nearby outlet. (That might be a challenge in the south, but in South Dakota, some still have engine block heaters, so there are outlets provided at some parking spaces for that purpose.) All in all, a good purchase, no regrets.

This charging unit has worked perfectly with my car as a L1 EV charger. I have kept my car only pulling 8 amps since I am using a garage outlet with a 10 amp circuit breaker and I've never had a problem with it working perfectly. The materials and quality seem very good and the status lights are clear and informative.

Shortly after purchasing a 2012 Chevy Volt, the included OEM Voltec charger gave out. Replacement for that part seemed astronomical so I searched for an alternative.This charger is just that. This cord has some heftiness to it, I can assure you that. Even with that being said, the product is on par with the OEM (if not better). The charge is level 1, so you know what to expect for it, but the space required to keep it near the outlet is far less, not mention you do get quite a bit more length in the cord.I highly recommend this product. Great value. Great build. The light pattern on the charger is easy to understand. Two thumbs up without question.

The unit failed after 1.5 years of daily use. I called the company and they said that it wasn’t designed for daily use yet the product description doesn’t explain that. Not sure what do to do next- when these cables fail all the gas savings are cancelled out.I’m willing to work with the company but there is no way to repair it. And I appreciate their time on the phone.

It technically functions, but the plug doesn't fit into the car receptacle as well as the original did. I have to push and wiggle and push, which always makes me worry that I will damage the car part. Same for pulling it off - pull, wiggle, pull. I don't have a lot of confidence in it.

Works fine at a quarter of the price of a new cable from Toyota. The connector is very tight -- hard to plug in, hard to unplug. But over time it is beginning to loosen up.

That's it. No worries. No problems. Long enough (the charge cord that came with the vehicle was not long enough).

This product is great. I love the longer cord than the original. I have a 2012 Volt and the plug in died on me. The first of these I ordered broke in couple days, but the company was terrific and sent me a new one! what else can you ask for at a great price. I love my Volt and happy that there is a good aftermarket for my accessories like this. otherwise, the Chevy dealer... yikes!
