Wow, impressive!
Let me start off by saying I am NOT a Strat / Tele guy. I am more of a Single Cut type of guy with humbuckers. I have always thought that twangy sound from single coils was nice in some instances, but I wanted to strike heavy thick ringing, DRIVEN chords more than anything. Nothing personal against Strats / Tele's etc, but just personally wasn't what my search was about..... Until now.in 1992 my parents, when I was 15, bought me my first REAL guitar (I had a guitar I was playing prior, a "Harmony" guitar... I put a large bolt about the size of the original bridge in place of where the bridge used to be (first time using it, I lost interest quickly as "Mary Had a Little lamb wasn't what I wanted to play, so it sat in a corner, and the bridge got lost lol) in order to play... I was serious! lol). That guitar was an Alvarez Dana series electric guitar. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that was basically a "super strat", but as you delve into guitars, and origins, repair, the whole nine, you learn those things.. lolAnyway, I still have that Alvarez, but it saw better days. It's pickups were Neck Single Coil, Middle Single coil, and "tri force" bridge humbucker. Apparently that was a pretty impressive pickup, some people still talk about the Tri Force.Anyway, This guitar was my "practice" guitar for repair, as the bridge was broken, the pickups sounded awful, were rusted, frets needed leveled and crowned, etc. So I took on the project after using it for practice, and wanted to make my folks proud, and bring this back to life like it was (to me) basically 28 years ago.I bought these Wilkinson Single coils, and MAN.... I don't know what I was expecting, but for the price I wasn't expecting a lot... but I sure got a TON. These things are loud, clear, musical, have that twang, and most of all, match up perfectly with the humbucker I put in there as well! These pickups sounded so good, they have inspired me to build my own KIT "Strat" style guitar and use these in it!Don't hesitate to get you some of these pickups, I am glad I did, and I love every minute of them!

Received with broken magnet and pickups not labeled to where they go
Received with middle pickup magnet broke in half. I had an old pickup I took the magnet off and replaced the broken one. Also the pickups have no markings as to what position they go to. I looked at pic on Amazon and figured they were in order in the pic. The two 50s go neck and middle w/ red wire and the 52 is bridge. Great strat sounding pickups worth it for the money. Just hope they don't come with broken magnets.

Good Sound
Renewing a Fender Squire Strat to make it better but didn’t want to invest a whole lot into it. These pickups sound nice, there is vintage feel there. I read some of the reviews and figured I’d try them. The cost was reasonable and with prime I knew I could return them. Before I even installed them I measured the resistance just to be sure the wiring was complete. I wired them in using CTS pots a new selector switch, orange drop cap and a tone bleed circuit. I made sure the inside of the guitar body cutout was lined for shielding and that everything was properly grounded. Once restrung I set the pickup height. After playing a bit I then readjusted the pickups live, just to fine tune. All in all I like the sound and the price certainly was right.

Great service, great price, great product, fast shipping
I have ordered 3 sets of these pickups. The first was from another seller and I didn't get the answer to the question about which was which (neck, middle, bridge) but these guys had the info right in the FAQ! I did figure the first set out and they sound really good- can't wait to get these in. They will be a nice upgrade from my standard import pickups that came with the guitars. Awesome!! I would definitely order again!

Great pickups Rich and full sounding. Not muddy or tinny.
These are great pickups, They are are rich and evan sounding. The brights have a familiar Fender bite and the lows are clean and solid. The problem is the three pack jams the three pickups together from China and they get damaged on the way to the seller in the US. (Not the seller's fault.) Several reviews lead me to expect this and I was not surprised to find two of the three pickups needed the coil wire re-soldered to the lead in wire. Not something the average person can do. I will likely order another set for a friend and need to do the same repair. UPDATE. Kaish saw my review and offered replacement of the pickups. They have also asked for details as to what the problem was. I have upgraded from one star to 4 star.

All three p/u faulty...
These pickups were delivered promptly and well packaged. I opened the package on my test bench to check their resistivity and confirm where they should be installed. All three pickups tested "open circuit" meaning there is a break in the windings or an open circuit and that they will not function. I build custom spec guitars and this customer had insisted on this budget pickup. Based on most of the reviews it looked like it could be a value. Maybe these were a one shot bad set... Nonetheless I recommend routine testing on the bench before installing. I will recommend my customer spend a few more bucks and get some Fender or similar Alincos instead.

Good value
I put these pickups in an old Vester strat type - they were a little big for the pickguard so that needed adjusting. They sound fine and are very good value for the price. They came with all necessary parts and in a hard plastic box undamaged by transit.

They Sound Good!
I used these to replace the stock pickups on a Strat kit, and wow do they sound nice! I was very much surprised to hear them for the first time, as I was debating between these and Tex-Mex pickups. The Wilkinson pickups are nice and clear, and have a nice round tone to them, while still delivering classic Strat/single coil tones. Would definitely recommend as an upgrade from stock kit or Squire pickups.

Für den Preis echt gut.
Klingt nicht wie eine Strat, aber cremig.

These pickups are amazing. I compared them A/B to Fender Custom Shop ...
These pickups are amazing. I compared them A/B to Fender Custom Shop Texas SpecialsI was hoping they would be at least in the ball park. Surprise, surprise, surprise, they are clearer, richer, louder and a bit more mid range but in a good way....the Texas Specials sound a little mid scouped in comparisonI agree the packaging was awful...just three pickups in a plastic bag....
