Yes. I have the same type of phone and it has plenty of room, still able to fold over the pocket. I purchased a small.

Q: Do you have to remove it from the sleeve to adjust volume,change song lists etc?

To adjust volume you may not remove phone from the sleeve (if you will use mechanic buttons) but if you want change song, you need remove you phone from the sleeve.

Q: I ordered this by mistake and would like to return it. How can i go about doing that?

When I had a return, I contacted Amazon and they were awesome. You might think about gifting it to someone.
