This device brought my Kia Stinger CarPlay into the 21st Century--not so fast (Update 6/2022)
Update 5/2023:As of February 2023, I started using it in my 2021 Lexus IS350. It worked like a CHAMP for the first couple months, and then, just like in the Stinger, the disconnect/reconnects started happening all the time. Once again, I found myself disconnecting the Drimfly CarPlay Adapter in favor of using the USB cord so that I could have a certain level of reliability and functionality again. I'm not sure why it always starts off strong for a couple months and then goes to Hell, but it's not the great product that I really want it to be...Update 6/2022:A certain level of frustration has returned. Despite my initial satisfaction with this product, it has proven to be quite finicky and prone to lagginess, non-touches, and disconnect/reconnects. I still prefer it over the wired connection, but that's only because I can't charge my large phone on my Stinger's charge pad with a cord attached to it.Original review:My 2019 Kia Stinger was frustrating me because I needed to have the USB connected to my iPhone 11 ProMax all the time. However, when the cord was attached, my large phone with its case would not fit onto the charge pad. I've been searching for months for a low profile cord to allow me to charge while in CarPlay but I could not find what I was looking for. After renting a Hyundai Elantra last weekend and experiencing bluetooth CarPlay, I had to have it! I searched and immediately found this device, received it this morning and within 3 minutes, I was up and running. Now I can stash the small receiver and its short cord in the compartment and charge my phone at the same phone...wirelessly! It sounds great and when it automatically reconnects when you get back in the car, it picks up right where you left off...Waze directions, Amazon Music, and all!! I'm going to love having this thing. Well worth it's pricey-ness!!

Don’t know what’s wrong with it
I bought this before for another jeep to get that true wireless CarPlay. This version struggles to connect. It worked flawlessly for the first month and now seems to struggle. Have to unplug and plug way too much. Disappointed

Works great...when it works
This truly is a plug-and-play item, which was a pleasant surprise. The only downside is that it doesn't always connect and has to be unplugged and replugged a few times. One tip I've learned is that if you have Google Maps or Waze active it's much less likely to connect to your phone, so get your phone connected and then open those apps.

Super Impressed! Brilliant!
I previously bought a different brand of wireless Apple CarPlay adapter and it was a disaster. I tried to get it to work in my 2018 Porsche 911 and it was a miserable experience. It only worked about one time in 10 and then it wasn't long before it disconnected. Miserable. Because of my previous experience, I had very low expectations of getting this one to work but boy was I surprised. I plugged it in, turned on the key and my display prompted to to activate CarPlay! I selected it, and was prompted to agreed to some legal crap (only the first connection) then I had to pair the device to my phone over bluetooth and that was it. Now, every time I start my car, CarPlay starts automatically with my phone in my pocket! It has never failed. I then tried it in my wife's 2021 Range Rover and my other Porsche, a 2021 GT4 (sounds like I a bragging I know, sorry about that, but I wanted to mention the make and model of the cars so others who are considering buying this know it will work in at least these three models. If it helps, I'm fat and ugly with a lot of personal problems). I already ordered 3 more. Very pleased with this device. Also worked in my 2019 Ford F-150UPDATE: Still happy with the device but one small annoyance. Whenever I start my 911, it switches to radio and I have to switch it off. Previously the radio remained on the same source it was on when I last switched it off.

Doesn't last long
Worked really well for about six months. Took longer to connect as time went on. Now, a year and a half in, even when it does connect it breaks up badly.
