Great to replace an old set

I ordered this set because I was starting to paint portraits of my pets and I needed a large color selection of acrylics paints without buying huge tubes of colors that might sit around for years before I use them. I also wanted something with more quality than grade school paint sets. This was a great purchase. Is it the highest quality? No. Is it reasonably priced? Yes. You get a large selection of colors and I've painted 3 portraits already and the only color I've run low on is the white which I have in stock in larger tubes because I always use the white more. I am very pleased and will buy again if I run out and need to do a project like this again.

Good quality arylics higher end student grade lower end artist grade. Bright colors and vibrant. I do alot of art. So I judge these to be at least better than anything from MichaelsAdd on. Painting with acrylic plein air can be a pain. I bought a paul rubens watercolor palette holds 24. Infilled up each well with 2 colors at opposite sides and put a layer of ziplock press and seal. That was a week ago and the paints are still moist. I dont want to fight with tubes

I do advanced decoupage. I purchased this set of paints to extend a print of a painting by Thomas Gainesborough. I am applying tiny dots of different colors with a coat of high-gloss lacquer over each layer - that is, twenty different layers of different colors of paint applied in dots with a coat of lacquer between each one. I'm finding the paints to be quick-drying and very easy to mix the colors. This project is a lot of fun!

I love these paints this is my security and set I've purchased and I couldn't be happier. My only issue is the kids are a little weak. I've accidentally screwed them on too tight and instead of just stopping it actually busted out the top of the lid! It was an easy fix to just fill it with hot glue, but it was time consuming.

This is a great paint set for a starter set. Not sure what colors you want or need for a project? This is a great place to start. They are also nice, high quality paints and I've experienced no issues with any of the ones i've used so far. They also came in a great box that can be used for storage permanently if you're not too hard on the cardboard. I'd highly recommend this set.

Image here on the page shows it's supposed to contain pink in the set. Bought it cos I had the 72 paints version of the same set and ran out of some colours, but there's no way to just buy them individually. All the other ones I needed replacing were in here but no pink. So maybe should change the image if that's not what's actually included?
