This is my first time buying a replacement shell and I was worried about painting it and how it would come out but it came out amazing. Absolutely love the shape of this body shell as well. I had previously converted my slash to a monster slash (2.8” tires and extended body mounts) and I wasn’t happy about the awkward look or the raised center of gravity due to the lifted body causing the truck to roll over easily. This body shell fixed both issues seeing as it looks amazing with the larger tires instead of awkward, and the open wheel wells allowed me to drop the body mount posts to a much lower setting which lowed the center of gravity just enough to drastically improve the handling compared to the stock Slash body shell with the larger 2.8 tires(which required a much higher body post setting while still having a ton of tire rub on the body unless you trim the crap out of the stock shell). With this J-Concepts body on the other hand the tires rubbing isn’t too much of an issue, but the front wheel-well still had a little rubbing towards the back of the tire when shocks were fully compressed and wheels were turned, so I cut the rear of the front wheel-well a little wider to avoid having to lift the body posts any further, but if you’re running standard short course truck wheels/tires than this shouldn’t even be an issue. One downside is that it looks too good and now I don’t want to bash too hard and scratch it all up haha. Same problem I had when I finished my Axial Yeti which is why it became a shelf queen, and also why I bought the slash to begin with so I can beat on it and bash it and replace the Yeti as a user RC. But I’m sure I’ll still bash it hard after babying it for a little till it starts to get a few rollovers and scratches. I mean for $35 I don’t mind replacing the shell occasionally, just takes a good amount of work prepping, cutting, and taping it off for paint but well worth the work and time. Side note I did spray the inside with spray-on pickup truck bed liner for 1:1 full size trucks to finish off the paint job. I don’t know how well or if it will help at all but figure the stuff is meant to be scratch and ding resistant to protect a truck bed from tools/rocks/cargo/etc so instead of taping the inside of the shell to prevent cracks thought this could possibly be more effective. Like I said who knows if it does anything but figured I’d give it a shot.

Nice thick plastic shell for the RC. Feels like it will handle a few good hits when Bashing the RC around the back yard. Will recommend.

As soon as I saw this shell, I knew I needed to make it into a Luke Skywalker’s x-wing helmet design. I had a lot of fun working on it!The divots lined up perfectly for attaching it to my 1/10 Traxxas Slash 2WD. Trimming was tough. I used a Dremel tool with a cutting wheel to get close to the desired edges then used a dremel sanding cylinder to get the rest of the way. Followed that with sand paper to straighten my edges up.Seems like a solid shell. I love how it turned out.

Body works great! Painting was easy enough, not many hard lines or crevices to get into. Put this on my Slash 4x4 which works well, if you have front and rear stock bumpers the body does not reach end to end so you may want to remove the bumpers or swap em out for some shorter RPMs or something...Overall great body, has taken some serious beatings so far in the last month and still looks nearly brand new. Happy

Great body for the slash especially if you want to put bigger tires on.

I like how solid and tuff this body is. Body wholes are pre marked. You can slam the body down low and the tires won’t rub.

The very first day at the track the nose cracked and chipped....Otherwise, I painted it pearl white and get compliments from people. I wish it didn't break so easily.

I love this body, it's an amazing product and so far I like it more than the short course style bodies.Everything about this body is better than stock except for the fact that you have to cut it out. You would think after paying 40 bucks they could at least have a machine cut it out for you.
