Smooth project material
This motor revitalized a 1975 Yamaha "Chappy" LB80 I bought at scrap price on Craigslist. What a rewarding project. Motor documentation is poor, I will not lie. I had to look up how to change rotation direction, as the electronic reverse on this kit has it locked at low speed. You will however find almost everything here to get your project moving. You need to close a 5V wire pair for "electronic lockout," so be prepared to do that.My project: Yamaha LB80 (80cc, two speed automatic transmission moped)14:1 worm speed reducer (not worried about efficiency, it's a local mobility device)1:1 sprocket drive, yields about 17mph top speed30ah 48v lawnmower battery pack6v buck converter to create 6v for scooter's electrics and 6v automotive relay for "electronic lockout"Adorable little scooter, never had a single problem with motor. Motor and controller do not heat, and scooter pulls hills at top speed.

Item never worked missed the return date
My motor never worked and I missed the return date because it wasn't installed yet. Bench test was fine but doesn't work under load.

Help please
A superb motor, I've fitted it to a seven and a quarter inch railway locomotive. Can anyone advise if there's a way to get any braking on the motor. I think it's called back EMF.

Potentissimo.
Utilizzato per un prototipo di macchina per trasporto agricolo, ha una potenza mostruosa. Rispetto alla potenza sembrerebbe deboluccio il pignone, comunque per il momento va alla grande. Lo consiglio.
