So glad I finally bought a bench supply. And checked on videos online to see which one is best at this price range. It does so much more than the cheapest ones. If you set the current limit, and it is reached it tells you it is in current limit mode and then the voltage drains down. You can also set it to shut off with Over Current Protection, where an alarm will sound and it will cut power. I found the leads more than adequate with the alligator clips and spade terminals, which I prefer to the banana clips. Readout is nice and clear with a fairly good update rate so you can see changes happen quickly. You can even adjust the baud rate in the options to make it quicker and lower the screen brightness. USB port also came in handy, although you cannot read the current draw for this, and the manual doesn't mention what it's limit is. I powered an Arduino and charged a phone off it, so it was fit for purpose. Adjusting everything is easy with pushing the knobs to change which digit you want to adjust to do fine or rough adjustment from 1 / 0.1 / 0.01 etc. It would be nice if it remembered which digit you were last on though, as it keeps defaulting to fine adjustment and takes a bit of remembering to push it first before turning it. Only thing is the beeps are a bit annoying, which wasn't a problem at first, because the manual lets you turn it off by going into settings if you hold down the output button for 5 seconds. However, it doesn't remember what you set each time you turn it off so have to do it all again every time. This is silly because it remembers all your other settings, even when you unplug. I might just open it up and cover the buzzer with a piece of tape to make it less noisy.

It is very easy and quick to use. An accurate supply with the added advantage of having an output switch. Noise is acceptable. Would have been good to have pd usb- c. The Hangell available from AliExpress is slightly better for approx same price

The power supply itself is good. It’s easy to set the voltage and current levels. The beeping that occurs as you do so is annoying, but it can be turned off by a long press on the setting knob. There are plenty of YouTube videos available to help. The IEC power lead supplied with the machine failed a PAT test on earth continuity despite a multimeter test indicating there was continuity. I replaced it with a lead from a UK manufacturer and a repeat PAT test was successful. Similarly the test leads supplied are not very beefy and may not be good enough for higher loads, although this machine can only deliver 150W. I replaced those too. The voltage supplied was accurate enough for my purposes with 5.00V showing as 4.99V on my multimeter. So in summary this is a compact and easy to use DC power supply. The output on/off button is a good feature allowing you to make adjustments to the settings without the need to disconnect the test leads. Four stars because of the poor IEC power lead supplied.

Nice clear display, output voltage can be selected and current limited if required, all voltage and current settings can be adjusted with the output turned off, then turn on output when you are ready. The overall unit is very light weight and compact.

Good size fits well on the bench. Adjustment is ok once you get the hang of it. Supply is noisy though. Crock clips are rubbish as they are slippery silicon type covers over the crock clips so you spend more time trying to squeeze them and them squirming before you can attach. The connection on the front is Y clip only, Banana style plugs look like the would fit but they do not. Worth the money? Probably. I have no need now to replace it, I will just live with the quirks.
