The writers know the history of the late Renaissance and created an amazing world. I haven’t played it, and may never will, I got it just to read the lore and it is worth the price just for that. Nice art work as well. Still, sitting here writing this, I am trying to think of who might be interested in taking a stroll through this world.

I was browsing for a set of Renaissance wargames rules when I stumbled across this. Though not what I was looking for I bought a set anyway.This is a superb set of rules for role-playing in a fantasy Renaissance Italy based around the inventions of Leonardo da Vinci. It a a small hardback, beautifully illustrated and well laid out. The book is a joy to read.Will I play the rules? I doubt it, wargaming with figures is where my heart is. Am I pleased to own a copy? Very much so for all the reasons mentioned above.I highly recommend this book to anyone with an interest in the Renaissance Italian period.
