Easy to unwind spool. Nice hefty twine perfect for my outdoor application.

I'm using it to fill cracks between pine floorboards in my 160 year old house. It can be stained since it is a natural fiber. Looks to be good quality and the price was the lowest on Amazon.

This is accurately described as 8 mm, (approximately 3/8 inch) jute rope. It is as strong as nylon rope, but has the advantage of not being at all slippery. It is also a natural fiber, so is biodegradable. The rope is strong and works well for tying bundles of branches for pickup by our city trash pickup service.What I plan to use it for most, however, is to rewrap the vertical stand on a cat tree. The old rope wrap has been mostly shredded by cat claws. This is thicker than the old rope, so should hold up much better.The rope will untwist and the fibers will separate unless you bind the ends with tape or smaller diameter string, but that is the case with most types of rope.

This is a thicker twine than you might be used to and that is what I wanted. In the past, I have had thinner twine actually sever the stems of my garden plants. With a ticker twine, I do not have to worry. I tie up my tomatoes and they can withstand the wind and rain as well as the weight of the fruit! I also have use this twine as a climbing trellis for my cucumbers with great results! It is sturdy and will last you several seasons. Also, it is pretty twine that I have used to embellish packages as well. I recently put together a gift for a fellow gardener friend that had a little trowel, a pair of gardening gloves and a few packets of heirloom seeds. I tied them up with a decent length of this twine and tucked a little thank you note inside and she was just thrilled. It looked super cute and when I told her to save the twine to tie up her plants, it was an added bonus! Overall, I am very pleased!

I was looking for a biodegradable replacement for the tie wires (and usually plastic surrounding) that are often supplied with trash bags to our local town dump and this option came up. I just cut a piece off with kitchen scissors and this has worked great. This jute is much thicker than I had anticipated and more than most of the household twine you have used before. I can see this having lots of household uses for this, though I have not been able to test the tensile strength or weight capacity yet. It feels quite strong. The country of origin is shown as China. It is quite useful to have a big roll handy and available like this.

I haven't used this rope yet but I am in love with the excellent quality. I know anything we decide to do with it will be a success. Can't imagine a better or stronger rope than this one.
