I am happy enough with the variety of tip styles, and even if they are garbage in very little time,you can't really beat the price of a buck per tip, at least if you are just a hobbyist and not a professional solderer. They seem to fit just as well as the hakko tips on my 888D, though. I don't know enough about soldering to really be able to say if they might be somehow lesser quality or perfectly fine, which is why I was looking to previous reviews to clue me in to the value of these. Unfortunately, I am not certain that the high rating that led me to purchase these over a number of competitor products is a valid measure since the first thing out of the box was a note which offered an additional 30 tips for free upon submitting a positive review of the product within a certain time frame. Assuming everyone who already got this product and reviewed it before me got the same deal, I am not sure I have the same confidence in the average star rating.I haven't done any work with these yet, though I did test if they would fit my iron properly, and that seems to be the case. I can't tell if there is any difference in weight or plating or composition which might affect temperature and wetting between these and the few Hakko tips that I got with my kit. They are individually labeled for size and shape on each in individual ziplock baggies, which is nice.It does seem a decent value for the money as long as they perform at all well enough to solder with, so I am still pleased with the purchase. I just don't like that the reviews may be a little suspect due to some bit of influence from the offer of extra free merchandise. I think my integrity is worth more than thirty bucks, though, so I will post this review just to let others know to be wary of the objectivity in the opinions on this itemIf I run into trouble with these at all after putting them to some actual use, I will post an update on this review..

Was having trouble soldering 10 guage battery cable for rc vehicles with my old tips from my radio shack digital soldering station so I decided to try these for the larger assortment of broad chisel and various other tips. This was the key to getting my iron to solder like I was seeing other people do in you tube videos!!! It's been roughly a year since my purchase and still are in perfect shape and functioning like the day I got them. When just recently my father was going through the same issues with his soldering, I gave him a few of the bigger tips from this pack and he too finally had success!!! I'm glad I didn't go with the cheaper options available on Amazon because I really feel you get what you pay for and this was a perfect example of that yet again. If you are pulling your hair out because no matter what you do your soldering isn't working, make sure you have an iron over 60 watts preferably 80 to deliver the power needed for these bigger connections and especially use the right size and quality tip that you will definitely find in this assortment and you will be very glad you did.

These tips are nice. In my hunt for a bent chisel tip, I came across this particular set. The bent chisel tip is apparently hard to come by, and this is the only set that has one that I could find for my solder station. I was able to locate a bent cylinder tip but it was 1/3 the price of this entire set, but it wasn't even the one i was looking for. Anyway, on to the review. The tips fit perfectly, and quickly match the temp of the iron, making it seamless to start working immediately. Out of the bad they are ready to go. They are shiny and hold solder well. The fork tip was already pre-tinned, and none of the other were oxidized. When it comes to variation, dare I say this set is over kill. I can't imagine ever needing another set, as I will probably never use more than 10 of these. I wasn't even aware there was a forked tip. I ordered the set for the bent chisel, and saw it came with a bent cylindrical tip, but was pleasantly surprised there was a 3rd bent tip included, for fine space work. For what I paid for this set, I will probably never have to get another set again. This set has everything I could ever think to need, as well as what i was actually looking for. I take really good care of my tip so these should last a long, long time. I really appreciate the time the seller took to piece this together, especially the bent chisel as is has a lot of application I will be using it for. It's really hard to find any cons with this set, but if i find any I'll update the review. If anyone has any questions about this tip please ask and I will respond.

Overall I have had a positive experience with these 900 style tips. I ran across these in my quest for a grooved tip for rapid removal of SMD devices. This set has 2 listed. And they do work effectively for their intended purpose. However, the ones in this set are too big for the SOD-523 devices I deal with most, but work great for larger sized packages. In my mind the others were to be just extra parts for the occasional use, but I tried a couple on both an import 936 copy, and my FX888D and they tested good on my tip thermometer and they solder well, even on rapid, repetitive joints on headers and sockets. Even though i have not tested the heavier sizes yet, I would buy these again.

I bought this because other tip assortments seemed to duplicate what came with my YIHUA 862BD+ soldering station. If you want to make sure you have the right tip for the job, this assortment is for you. Tips are well made, fit my soldering station perfectly and come pre-tinned. The seller advertises 30 tips but I actually received 31. Also, the tips are individually package and labeled.
