Opens large juice cans just fine!
The media could not be loaded. This is a decent little can opener/tapper. I wasn't sure what to expect from a can/bottle opener under a dollar even after reading reviews so I posted this video so others can see it working.I got it for full size juice cans and it works well for that. The hole and opener tip are a little smaller than a nicer wooden handle one I remember from my childhood, but this simple metal tapper is sharp, works great, doesn't bend much at all, and seems durable. Of course the other side also opens beer bottles but that's not what I needed it for.Watch my attached video review to see it in action on a large can of pineapple juice!

Don’t bother.
I wanted to use it in a commercial pizza store. From day one we had problems with the hook holding on to the can. I took it home and ground the hook to hold better but we still had problems with it. When one of the employees cut his hand using it. I threw it away. I called a restaurant supply store and discussed it with them. They wanted to seek me a commercial can opener for over $200 dollars. We already had one but after 10 yes we would have to replace it just not yet. The associate in the store showed me the one that looked like the one I just threw out. I wasn’t interested. But he handed it to me and while I was telling him what was wrong with it, I noticed that it felt different stronger maybe. We took it over to the big cans of sauce and I lifted one with it. The hook was perfect. I spent $3 and took that one back with me. We use it every day with no problems.

This is a very well made, sturdy product. Has some weight to it. Not made cheaply at all.

Much stronger than expected.
I wasn't sure what to expect, given it's extremely low price. I bought some to use for rubber mold cutting, the kind where you cut natural rubber, inlay in a small aluminum frame with a part to be molded, and then vulcanized in a press. I have this can opener C-clamped to my workbench and using the sharp end I lift and pry the rubber mold as I slowly cut the rubber with a sharp hobby knife. I have to put tremendous force against the can opener to get the rubber to bend, seemingly much more than the instructional videos depict, but I'm also using Castaldo Titanium rubber which is a bit firmer than the yellow stuff. The can opener hasn't bent at all, and I've tired my hand from prying rubber. The clamp slightly bends it flush with the bench (clamped in the middle flat area) but when I release the clamp, the can opener springs straight again. Very good quality, I'm quite happy about this item. First time cutting rubber too, this is definitely a required tool for that! Someone before me complained about it bending, and I can't imagine what they could have been doing with it to bend it. I can't describe the amount of force I've had to apply to this to get the rubber to bend open, but I'm on my second mold and it's still identical to it's original form.
