Great for music, chord charts, and lead sheets. The A4 size works well for a letter-sized page.Easy to read and easy on the eyes.Having Android with the Play Store is great because I can use a variety of app options. There are also a lot of pedal options for turning pages available.The pen works great for writing, and the cap is nice to have to protect the end, but I wish it had an eraser.Found a great case for it on Etsy.

This is a versatile e-ink device that's far closer to a general purpose tablet than a mere e-reader.For those wondering if you can download highly detailed maps, scroll around, pinch and zoom, etc., the answer is yes! And all offline once you have the maps. Scrolling and zooming is responsive, viewing maps outdoors is a joy, and the only thing missing is GPS (-1 star; this is a premium product and should include GPS).Note if you attach a compatible GPS dongle such as the BU-353S4 to the USB-C port, it will work.For some reason, MAPS.ME—an app I use on my other Android devices—does not show up for download on Google Play. But now I'm using an app called OsmAnd+, and I like it even better. And there are other choices as well.If you treat this like a tablet (WiFi, Bluetooth, web browsing, etc.) then expect to get typical tablet battery times—perhaps a day or so. But if you turn all that off and just use this for viewing maps and reading, then expect to get weeks. You can even take a screenshot of your map area of interest and set it as your shutdown image. Then you can view it indefinitely using no power whatsoever!

This is a great device and worth the money. My only complaints are that it takes a while to start up and the written to text converter doesn’t work well at all. Other than that it is great. Also you can Bluetooth a keyboard if you want.

After using it extensively, I finally want to write a review that this product is very cheaply built. In addition, the operating system is not good. I feel the contrast is inferior. Because of that, the e-ink does not add any benefit to the long-term eye-friendly reading experience. I feel that it is just a placebo effect that some users feel good about these e-ink readers. There is still a long way to get a better experience for e-ink readers. At this moment, these e-ink readers are a waste of money.

Worked at first. Bricked right away after using auto updater. Be careful with this function. Website says there is no update for the software, which leads me to believe the autoupdate is some kind of error and providing an unstable beta. Even more confusing was that the autoupdate explanations were in Chinese (even though I had my language changed to English). For a $900 tablet, has unique and interesting tech but should not be unstable in this way. Page turning on standard mode was about as slow as my Kindle Paperwhite.

Bought this to use for reading sheet music - which is does incredibly well. However I now use it for all my note taking and as an e-reader. The large screen makes it great for reading; I’ve abandoned my paper white kindle. This replaced a shelf full of sheet music and a stack of my work notebooks. Highly recommend.

For $800, I had very high hopes for this tablet and the overall look, feel, and writing experience are very good, but the product is just not there yet. The apps are not good, the OCR is terrible. My handwriting isn't great, so I'll give some leeway for that, but the format of the OCR is bad. It just OCR's everything on one line which is less than helpful. Youc an't add lines to the page which might help. The navigation is atrocious - you have to breadcrumb back and forth, although there is an app switcher for open apps. The pen and writing feel are very good - that part I really do like, but the pen didn't always work. The OneNote app is completely terrible - I don't know if that's BOOX problem or a Microsoft problem, but the net result is the same - useless. The BOOX Note app actually isn't terrible, it's just not very feature rich. If I could take notes there then copy/paste/export them to OneNote even that would be ok but there is no functionality for that. Guess I could export to PDF and then import that into OneNote on computer and copy/paste elements but that's way too much work. It supports colored ink, but of course doesn't show you the colors - which is fine, I knew it was black & white, but it's confusing to add color when there's no way to differentiate it. VERDICT: The writing feel is great, the overall look and feel of the tablet is great, but the apps are bad and the eInk/Drawing is hit and miss. Shows a lot of promise, but is not there yet and for $800, you can get Galaxy tab, iPad, or Surface that work great just without the nice writing feel. Back to Amazon it goes.

This device is a game changer for me. It has been an amazing help to organize my day, take notes and deal with the large PDF textbooks.I highly recommend buying a paper-like screen protector film, it is fantastic.
