The Reunion

There’s no chance of me being able to do justice to this beautifully crafted novel.
I’m not sure where to begin, there’s no chance of me being able to do justice to this beautifully crafted novel.Quinn is a one-click author for me because her words have a way of reaching the deepest parts of you, and between the witty banter and swooning, she weaves together lessons we can all learn from. While writing The Reunion, Quinn seemed to know exactly what my mind needed, my heart desired, and my soul required. It was a poignant story, family, miscommunication, self-reflection, digging deep and learning to love yourself, a series of life lessons, forgiveness, within ourselves or those we love, and each of these siblings was falling in love in the midst of their angry words.Palmer Chance is the youngest member of the Chance family; she left home after graduation and hasn't returned since. She had her reasons, and now she was home, but the past and the secrets she had brought with her weighed heavily on her shoulders. She was incredibly sassy, didn't have a filter, and her antics made me laugh, but on the inside she was lost, filled with varying degrees of inner turmoil, and my heart ached for her.Ford Chance is the eldest Chance sibling, and with that comes the inherent trait of taking full responsibility for the younger siblings, whether it's protecting them or bossing them. Anyone who has siblings understands all aspects of their family dynamics. Ford was the head of the family business, a workaholic who rarely returned to his hometown for a visit. He had his reasons for devoting his life to turning the family-owned business into a franchise into his sole purpose in life, but in doing so, he was forgetting the very foundation of his family and what the business had been built on.Cooper is the middle Chance sibling, and he was the only Chance sibling who stayed close to home, which comes with a different responsibility, caring for their parents. If you read The One Night (which I highly recommend you do) you will have a greater understanding of his mindset. He had gone through a divorce, which, along with other events, prompted him to begin digging deep within himself, seeking a way to reflect on who he was and embark on a journey to become who he desired to be.As the three Chance siblings get together for the first time in years and things get heated, years of unspoken things are revealed, they are supposed to be planning their parents' anniversary party, but the tension between them makes that impossible.Palmer, Ford, and Cooper are falling in love with someone who brings them peace at a time when they are all stressed to the max. It's a mix of light and the heartbreak they're feeling as a result of their siblings' estrangement. The Reunion astounds me; it's unlike anything I've ever read. An inspiring story about facing the past while facing the possibility of a better future, forgiveness of self and those you love, every aspect is fueled by love, for their parents, siblings, and the new relationships they are all starting, and life lessons interwoven through each character's POV. By the end, a piece of you will be left on the pages, and the formidable life lessons will burrow their way into the deepest parts of you.

Such a cute romcom
I already love Meghan Quinn but this book made me love her more. I loved the comedy in it; actually laughed out loud to several parts. If you need a sweet HEA with comedy, a hot doctor & a sexy business man, this book is for you. While I loved Ford, Beau stole my heart. Palmer got on my nerves but at the end she wasn't bad. Haha. Marina island seems like a lovely place to vacation & this book made me wanna jump on a ferry, order a cake, break my arm so I can meet a hot doctor, visit a wilderness store & go on a hike. 💜 keep doing work Meghan

Loved everything about this one!
I read The One Night prequel recently and absolutely loved Nora and Cooper’s story but really wished for more. Well, I got it in The Reunion, plus more. I was a little nervous about reading this one as this book is told in 6 POV’s. Three couples but also relationships between 3 siblings. I wasn’t totally a fan of the multiple POV’s at first because I can’t read a book all in one sitting, so trying to keep the stories straight after having to put it down for a bit was a little hard for me, however, Meghan Quinn really made it work and I should’ve never doubted that she could. I decided that I needed to read this one as much as I could, so I didn’t forget what was going on with each sibling and I totally enjoyed it.Martin and Peggy Chance had three children, Ford, Cooper & Palmer. The Chance’s brought their children up with so much respect and love in the family, hoping their children will eventually end up like they have…. Still in love and ready to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. So the Chance siblings were brought back together to Marina Island to plan a party for their anniversary. Well, all would be good if the siblings still got along. Somewhere along the line, they all grew apart. Ford is always focused on work (he’s head of their family owned camping store) and trying to figure out how to rebrand the store. Cooper looks after his parents, as his dad is slowly deteriorating, so he helps around the house despite having to take the ferry across the water from his own house. And Palmer was off gallivanting around the world making IG posts about food, trying to prove she can make it on her own. Well, the Chance siblings aren’t as put together as they want the other family members to believe and it all comes out when trying to plan their parents anniversary party.Along with the Chance’s POV’s, there is also Beau, the doctor in Marina Island and someone Palmer has crushed on for years; Larken, Ford’s assistant and Beau’s sister and Nora, the town baker and Cooper’s ex-wife’s best friend. Meghan created this story in a way that keeps you turning the pages wanting more. I loved the plot and all the twist and turns she added in this one. She had me laughing hard too. Palmer has a sassy mouth and watch out when she gets ahold of some wine. I loved how the relationships came to be between the characters and I couldn’t wait to find out why the Chance siblings no longer got along well. I’m so glad I took the chance and read this book. It kept me very entertained and I absolutely loved the ending! It definitely gave me that “complete” feeling where I don’t feel like I need to have more, although I would’ve pass up reading something later on as an update on their lives. LOL

Refreshingly funny and romantic
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Downloading it right before a three hour flight which turned into a 12 hour day of delays and airport chaos, I can say it kept me entertained and engaged. It was nice to read a romance where the characters could actually be real people with mostly normal problems. The interaction between the siblings via e-mail were hysterical. The level of heat was perfect.I’ll be checking out this author’s other titles.

So dang good
I laughed a lot while reading / listening to this book and cried like a baby at the end. Three siblings organizing a party has never been more chaotic as they work out their relationships with each other and their respective love interests. Their parents are amazing - supportive, loving, and stern when needed with their adult children. I was really expecting them all to be grounded at times. I am so glad I read this sequel to The One Night. The narrators did a great job.

3 stories in one
Wonderful, sad, sweet and passionate. Ford is trying to win over his love Larkin. Cooper is fighting his attraction for Nora, and Palmer is hot for Dr Beau(her teenage crush). Now they just need to quit fighting like the siblings they are, and work on the business and their relationships. Well worth the investment!!

The Queen has done it again!
Fantastic book, I love all of Meghan’s books and this one is just as good as previous books if not better. How one author is capable of producing hit after hit is beyond me!!! This book is funny from the start, it follows three siblings trying to arrange their parents 50th wedding anniversary- as you can possibly imagine each have their own idea of what their parents would want. Top that with the siblings love life and - boom you have three love stories rolled into one. This book is funny, witty, romantic but also emotional, it has all the elements to keep you turning those pages. The family dynamics are so relatable that it all seems so real. This book will take you on an funny, crazy, emotional journey that will be worth every minute. The Chance family are simply the best!

The three Chance siblings are back in their hometown of Marina Island to throw their parents a 50th wedding anniversary party. The problem is that they’re so disconnected from one another now that they can’t even agree on a simple cake flavour, never mind anything else.As tensions rise and old wounds are reopened, will it spell disaster for their family?Told in the POV of each Chance sibling, as well as each of their love interests, this book read almost like a tv show. Think Kandi Steiner’s PSU series. And although it’s unconventional, I actually love the format, and it was perfect for this book. Mini cliffhanger after mini cliffhanger!Ford and his assistant, Larkin, have worked together for years. Their relationship has always been strictly professional, with a side of friendship, but it really doesn’t take too much for them to see each other differently and cross the line into more.Cooper had a one night stand with Nora a year ago. Even though he’s the one that snuck out and never contacted her again, he’s also the one that can’t stop from visiting her bakery. Going to see her for things that could be done via text.Palmer had a massive crush on Beau for years. Throw in the fact that he once saved her life, and she’s never been able to forget him. So imagine her surprise when she discovers he’s now the town doctor…and that she made a total ass of herself in front of him when drunk. The Chance siblings were a bit of a mess and totally disconnected from each other. No one listening to the others, everyone wallowing in their own issues. Personally, I feel like Palmer acted out the worst and came off as such a brat, but no one was blameless. In true Meghan Quinn fashion, there were some truly hilarious moments in this. Ford, especially, had a very (humorously) trying time.

funny family romcom
I must admit when I heard this book was written from 6 different view points I wasn’t sure if it was for me, but I’m so glad I read/listened to it. Cooper and Nora had history (read The One Night before this), Ford and Larkin are meant to be more than boss and assistant and Palmer and Beau both had crushes on each other in high school. When they all come home for their parents wedding anniversary everything starts of fall apart. Old insecurities, misdeeds and misunderstandings all come to light, ending with a disastrous Anniversary party for their parents. Sometimes you just wanted to bang all their heads together and say speak to each other! I loved how eventually they all managed to come together for their parents and by realizing how much they needed their families they also realised who they wanted in their lives and they go about making that happen. This was a funny, hot, different and enjoyable read.
