It needs to be larger!
Very cool. My only criticism is it needs to be larger! I would have loved this to have been twice the size! But its a great little playset. The flying mummy is cool, but so too are the SET guards. I love that the scorpion is posable and can hold one of the minifigs in his claw! There's an epic battle going on while the explorer/professor is oblivious, studying his map. Very fun to build and set up. I've not been able to bring myself to take it apart for another set yet.

Great kit!
Overall the kit is pretty strong. The Anubis/Jackal headed minifigs are really nice, the half-track truck is fun, and the scorpion is just boss. When it is put together it is a good looking set. The disappointment is in the way the pyramid is built up. First there is a plastic molded baseplate that gives you about three inches in height. I'd have preferred that height to be from build up of bricks rather than molding. The sides of the pyramid are also more along the lines of vertical wings than actual brick build up. It still looks quite good and is certainly well worth the price.

Not as cool as it looks
Not as good as other sets. Kids built it once and said some parts didn't sit correctly. Then when they had other stuff they wanted to display this was the first that got taken apart and shoved in the mass bin.Careful of price. We paid eighty-five bucks which was probably too much. Current price is obnoxious and ridiculous.

My 7 year old is ecstatic...!
This is one Lego set that keeps on giving. While it isn't cheap, this set allowed him and his partner in crime (our almost jine year old) the opportunity to build three separate things. There's the pyramid itself, then there's a scorpion, and then a small car and then there's a bunch of different characters with their own set of accessories. They had a lot of fun putting together and it continues to fascinate him. On the building ability front, we found this one challenging for the 7 year old. Every child approaches it differently. Our older son, however was able to work at it quite independently. The price on Amazon was also about $12-$17 cheaper than other places and with Prime and no tax, it's a solid deal.

great great great
Bought this for my 5 year old for christmas. I bought through a third party seller and got a good price on it also shipped very fast. great to build with a lot of pieces but my 5 year old is able to follow the instruction and build a pretty large part of it. It took several hours for him to build it ( took some breaks in between) and he likes to play with it after it is finished. Also great to look at. This is one of the rare Lego series that has a real history background and we all love it. My son usually favors Hero Factory series and Ninjago series, so I was not sure if he'd like this one, but he does, very much, and I'm glad.
