Excellent for Sailing
Bought for grandson, an avid sailor, and loves it. Designed to allow movement and is perfect.

Works well for kayak paddling
Not an expert paddler, in fact, I prefer to run with my small trolling motor. However, there are times and places were padding is necessary. The Cadence PFD is a great choice for such activity since it has very minimal thickness on the back. The large arm openings also allow for plenty of freedom of movement. Light weight and relatively comfortable compared to most other PFD's I have tried. I tested it in the water as well. I tossed my 145 pound overboard in the middle of a calm lake, about 400 yards from shore. I managed to swim back with empty kayak in tow while wearing the Candence PFD.Note: DO NOT ATTEMPT this type of test or anything like it unless you are an avid swimmer in peak condition. It should also be noted that I had another kayaker following me in case I had trouble.

Light weight, not cumbersome & husband said it doesn't get in the way while paddling his kayak. A winner all the way around.
