Got these for my laps to add to my smart home. Philips hue lighting is very good. And I have to say very reliable. All my lighting and bulbs at home are Hue.

It's a life changing experience. A bit pricy but it's great. Working very good without a bridge with echo 5.

Initially bought without a Philips Hue, very good to use with one, bright, goes sufficiently low as well for exceptionally late nights and connections were always quick and easy.Routines and scenes are easy to set up, easily accessible and the app is great and smooth compared to my previous smart bulbs' apps, which never connected properly and kept bugging out.With the addition of a Philips Hue, these light bulbs are even better, connection is pretty much instant (as long as you have an internet connection) and even more interactions are available, including activation from outside the house, good for when you're coming back home from a night out.Would definitely encourage buying.

If you’ve got the Virgin hub5 you’ll understand the problem of getting your other smart bulbs to work with the wifi. The only bulb that would work was the Phillips Hue in my son’s bedroom (which he wanted because it was compatible and interacts with his Razr keyboard and speakers with his gaming PC). These bulbs join via Bluetooth to the Hue hub which is plugged in to my hub by ethernet so no wifi is needed. They’re perfect!The lights are bright. I just ask alexa for white or warm white and they’re a bright white like a 100watt bulb or as low as probably 10watt equivalent. I’ve now got Phillip Hue bulbs in every room. Quite expensive but worth it in my opinion. The colours (in my other Hue bulb purchases) and the whites are much better, brighter and quicker to react to alexa commands. Very highly recommend.

Almost all IoT devices in my place are Zigbee, and lamps are not an exception!I've had bulbs from multiple vendors, but my personal experience is that while Phillips Hue bulbs are a bit more expensive than other brands, they tend to last A LOT longer!To this date, I think I only had one of their bulbs die on me and that was after 5 years of daily usage.Amazon have these on regular promotions, and I was lucky enough to order a couple while one of those promos was running, so keep your eyes peeled for those!

Man kann sie mit dem programmierbaren Hue Smart Button ansteuern, zur Not auch nur mit dem normalen Lichtschalter bedienen. Zur Langlebigkeit kann ich noch keine brauchbare Angabe machen, etwas über ein Jahr haben sie mittlerweile überlebt...White Ambiance lässt sich fließend zwischen warmweiß und kaltweiß einstellen und dimmen. Es gibt die Standardprogramme für die Lichtfarben: Hell/Lesen warmweiß, 4000K neutralweiß, wie im Büro, und dann das angeblich energiespendende Kaltweiß. Dazu gedämpftes Entspannungslicht und runter gedrehtes Nachtlicht. Alles frei von Stroboskopeffekt oder Farbflimmern.Ich hab mir dazu "Schneeweiß", einen Zwischenton aus neutral- und kaltweiß, sowie ein "Mondlicht" programmiert, "Schneeweiß", aber in niedrigster Intensität. Gut für nachts zur Orientierung.Die vielen in der Hue-App verfügbaren Programme für farbiges Licht funktionieren damit natürlich nicht richtig; manchmal wäre aber ein Farbwechsel-Programm schön. Es gibt einen Flackereffekt, bei dem ich fürchte, dass dann jemand die Feuerwehr rufen wird.Wer bunte Lichteffekte nicht braucht, ist mit White Ambiance gut bedient. In einem "ernsthaften" Umfeld kann man damit jede Menge anfangen.

These Philips Hue Light Globes are indeed smart in many ways and brighter than usual. First and foremost they are LED light globes that consume little electricity but yet give a bright radiance that ‘Lights Up’ the room to your satisfaction. Not only that, they have built-in Bluetooth technology so that you can turn them on/off with your smart phone or watch. Also when coupled with a Philips Hue bridge (Sold separately) you will have full access to its capabilities including dimming, timed schedules to wake up (turn on) or sleep (turn off) at times that you specify eg. sunset to sunrise which adjusts automatically as daylight hours change, fade in/out, pre-set scenes etc are all possible with these smart globes. Price is on the high side, however they last ages without having to replace them so quickly. So you will understand the long term saving advantages. Go ahead and buy them, you won’t regret it
