Our tomatoes are grown in the small town of Agira, Sicily by experienced farmer Salvatore who is very passionate about his work! Once the tomatoes are ripe, they go to a small commercial kitchen run by Giuseppe. He cooks the tomatoes and bottles the sauce by hand.  We only use tomatoes of the highest quality which are planted in the Spring and harvested at the peak of the Summer season. No artificial fertilisers nor other types of chemicals are used; tomatoes are planted in the open fields (no greenhouses). Our tomatoes only get spring water and Sicilian sun! Our Tomatoes are watered from a natural spring on our farm overlooked by Mount Etna, hand picked and left under the shade of tun roofs to ripen before being hand-cooked. We use natural crop rotation.
