Splash About Baby Wrap Wetsuit

Used it today for the first time. Material is nice and thick but no thin fleece layer in it. Gave it a hand wash last night with detergent and I am glad I did - it bled lots of colour....!!! Smell is awful - absolutely chemical and makes me feel thick! Will wash it in the washing machine and hope that it gets better.Fit is good and in theory easy to put on - just awkward if you put baby in it on a towel or similar since velcro sticks to it immediately..2 stars less for the chemical smell and that its not meant to be machine washable- not practical for baby items...EDIT: have used it twice now and my baby gets a rash from it on the chest. So wont be using it anymore. In addition even if it has been washed in the washing machine a few times now, the chemical smell is still present! Another star less. And i personally can't recommend to anyone.

Haven’t used this yet so stars are based on fit and quality. Don’t want to commit to 5 stars yet because haven’t been in the water yet but I don’t see why it wouldn’t get 5/5.Baby is 5 months old and on 50th percentile for growth. Bought 0-6 months because next size 6-18 sounds like it’ll be massive if it has to fit at 18 months. However that was wrong decision because 0-6 doesn’t quite get round his belly so the Velcro Just meets at the top. Will return and get 6-18months and hope it’s not too long as the 0-6 was perfect in length.Can’t feel any rough seems on the neck or anywhere else that could rub baby’s skin.

I measured my son before I bought it as I wasn't sure which size to buy. I bought the 6 month one despite him not being 6 months at the time as this was better measurement size. I have been using it every week at Waterbabies and I love it. The good thing about it being slightly too big is the fact that I know he will grow into it and will last a lot longer. Once he outgrows this size I'll buy the next one up. I have the matching nappy too and have used this brand since he was 8 weeks old. Love Love Love!

Bought 6-18months for my son. He’s been wearing it since 8 months, currently 11months, he’s average size if not a bit bigger.Does end up with quite a lot of suit around the shoulders but growing into it now and guess that can’t be helped with a product that has a years age range?Easy and quick to get on and off as all Velcro. (my son doesn’t like the noise when removing but not a product fault)Wear over a swim nappy, didn’t bother with any shorts. Only used in Uk pools so no need for sun protection etc. if was abroad would buy the full length one as I think the Velcro would likely get caught on a ruin a SPF swim suit/t shirt and shorts.Think it probably does keep him a bit warmer and makes him easy to hold in the pool.

Bought this for my daughter who wore it at 6 months and got the 6 to 18 months, she's a big baby and fit well initially around the tummy and legs and had a lot of excess around the shoulders but was manageable. Now she's 9 months and it doesn't fit right around her legs, there is no proper ajustment for theegs after they are longer and bigger as the bum flap is one size and shape and the velcro won't reach if put where it needs to be or the material doesn't sit right around the legs, and still has excess room at the shoulders. Is quite a stiff material which had a strong smell at first, it disappeared after a few washes. she's never complained but think she would be happier in a softer suit. It's served its purpose well for a few months but for something supposedly adjustable to grow with age, it's lacking and not fantastic.

Baby seems happy in pool. The velcro makes it easy to put on and off. I thought at first it didn't fit my 3 month old but I just needed to be firmer in pulling it around his middle (I have a larger baby). Sometimes I think it digs into his armpit but he's always quite relaxed in the water so it doesn't seem to bother him. Overall I am happy with the product. Also love the design and was delivered quickly.

14 month old was really cold and therefore not enjoying swimming then bought this and he is loving swimming at last!! No more tears :-) Rinses well in cold water after use and dries pretty quickly. I use it with reusable swim nappy only as doesn't fit board shorts underneath. Size was accurate to measurements rather than age as is often the way with baby and toddler items as they're all different!

Although I haven’t used the Baby Wrap in the swimming pool yet, the Wrap is thick neoprene material, with Velcro fastenings and easy to put on.The only issue is, I had to return and order the size up, as it was too tight and looked uncomfortable. We are 6 months old, so sat between 0-6 and 6-18m sidings.The size up means it’ll last longer and fits better.
