Best of five reviewed - the keeper
I couldn't decide so bought five to look at. Sure others are similarly tormented by choice so here is my quick comparative review.Apart from the cover with stand and hand grip features, they were all very similar. Some were more lightweight than others, the pic shows them in order from heaviest on the left, you can see old Moko here is the lightest. The dark grey Mokase cover (no. 2) covers a bit more of the bottom where port and switch are but it didn't seem important to me. 3-5 same in that respect. All apart from Moko have a rubbery feel to the surface which I personally didn't like as it felt like it would not clean properly, but it's very non-slip on the plus side. From rubbery to non rubbery in that order: 3, 2, 4, 1, 5 (the black Moko). It has plenty of texture to not slip from your hand but doesn't feel sticky or rubbery, I like that. Some close a bit tighter than others, Moko maybe the least - when body of kindle is held with lid facing the floor the lid will fall open but I can't see you ever holding it like that so doesn't bother me. Switching kindle on and off, no problems observed.Bottom edge that you hold: the three in the middle all had rubbery fake fabric covers, and they were like covered in a rubber sheet that was heat bonded around the edges and terminated in a thin pliable edge. It feels a little sharp though not firm. It may be subject to fraying /damage over time as soft, I imagine. Moko in contrast has a wider and harder edge to the plastic cover, which I preferred the feel of.Fitting and coming out of the cover varied slightly but my technique may have been a factor. They all slipped in well, to prise out was a little challenging with some, including Moko possibly the most, not ideal but with the right technique (apply downward pressure to the two right edges of the kindle, away from the spine /lid side) it wasn't too hard. Finally the very different cover with stand (1, far left) works well for standing up and holding the kindle but it holds the kindle by covering a lot of the front edges, which looks awful. It's also thicker and heavier, so it wasn't for me personally. However, I did like the soft but not too sticky material and the colour combo of black and mushroom brown.

Makes it easy to hold in one hand in bed
The stiff cover makes it easy to hold between finger and thumb when folded back. Perfect fit too.

Great build quality, good price, perfect Kindle companion!
I had the new Kindle Paperwhite pre-ordered for a while and at the same time had an Amazon case sat in my basket. Ever being the bargain hunter, I spent the remaining days before the Kindle release seeing if any non-Amazon-branded cases came up, and this one did.I read the reviews for the same product for the last Paperwhite which were generally pretty positive, and this being a few quid cheaper I thought I'd give it a go. I am glad I did as it's a very good case/cover. The Kindle securely slots into the pre-moulded case, and the cover closes over with a magnetic snap. Pretty simple, but to sum up:- Quality materials and build - I imagine this will last for a decent amount of time- Fits kindle very securely, there's no shifting about with the cover closed or open- Magnetic closure isn't super-magnetic making it difficult to open, it is just right- The Kindle awakes when you open the cover and put to sleep when it snaps closed- Although the case is good quality plastic, the front and back are textured, which does give it a premium feel. This is not a leather case, but why would you think so at this price!- The power button and USB-C charging has a cut out for easy access- The inside of the front cover is a microfibre material to protect the screen- When the cover is opened, it folds behind the case so when you hold the Kindle for reading your hand is on the microfibre material, which is nice a nice touch- This is a smart-looking simple case, which will take care of your new Kindle at home and outdoorsI hope this review is helpful!
