Does this have a heat function use while massaging?

No, it doesn’t have a heat function. If it’s for a muscular injury, I recommend massaging the sore area gently by hand for a few minutes, (massagers can be too aggressive sometimes) and then applying 1 or 2 Deep Heat Pain Relief patches. Best to leave the patches on for the next 4 to 8 hours.

Mine came with no plastic around the box, and none of the individual items were wrapped, is that normal or have I been sent a returned item?

I don’t know because mine was the same but I bought from Amazon Warehouse so that could change the packaging.

Is this any good ? Is it powerful enough for massaging stubborn pain ?

I’ve owned both the corded and battery versions of the larger massager and they have massively helped reduce my constant muscular and joint pain caused by gout. Happen to be using it right now! The cable on my corded one broke after a few weeks of use because the lead wasn’t very flexible where it joins the massager. I tried the mini one at a friends house and but it seemed underpowered in comparison to the larger cordless one. I’d definitely recommend the getting larger cordless massager over the mini or corded versions.
