Control Transformer 40VA, Primary 120, 208, 240V Secondary 24V, HVAC Furnace Multi Tap （1 Pack）

I used this to replace a factory Carrier HVAC 24VDC transformer on a forced air system. Note that the only wire diagram in on the Amazon product listing. There were no instructions within the box, although you can intuit the desired wiring pattern from the label on the transformer itself. I cut away and taped off the unneeded wires for VAC input (240 / 208).It has a larger footprint than the original - which is important to note if you have space limitations. There was no problem in my application as I mounted it in the same place using self-tapping sheet metal screws.It looked clean and well assembled. Worked fine.

My 25 year old low voltage transformer was dying. It wasn't able to supply the 24 volts my Honeywell wifi thermostat needed to operate. After doing a little research I bought this device and it worked like a charm. My A/C is working just in time fir the hottest temperatures of the year coming later this week. This took me about an hour to install.

I needed 24VAC for power contactors (relays), but my source was 220VAC. Yeah, I could have used one leg and a ground, but I did not have a neutral. So this transformer was perfect. Plenty of power small, and perfect for my project.
