It's actually thick! You can feel the difference immediately. That 0.25in padding stops those ugly metal marks completely. If your old one was leaving marks, this iron board cover with padding is your fix

Will my iron scorch this ironing board cover and pad?

I’ve accidentally left my iron on it for a second—no problem! The surface is scorch-resistant. Plus, I swear I finish my shirts way faster now because of that reflective heat stuff. It’s a total time saver

How do I know the size fits my iron board?

It fits like a glove IF you measure first! But if you measure and are still even a little unsure, just ask! Dalykate iron board cover is super helpful!
