An interesting and often empowering read!
An eclectic compilation of short essays covering topics of interest and relevance to anyone with an interest in modern witchcraft. Written by those who have first hand experience of the intersection between witchcraft and being part of underrepresented groups, it is an empowering read and is unafraid of tackling sometimes controversial topics.A great read for those an interest in witchcraft; academic, practical or both!

Absolute must-read
Insightful and thought-provoking. This isn’t a book telling you how to go about your craft, it’s a book to empower all to think deeper about our practice and challenge the impact we didn’t know that we have on others. Essential reading.

Don't waste your money
When I got this on kindle I was expecting it to be a in depth discussion on ethics in witchcraft not not on woke propaganda. So my advice is if you aren't transgender or non-binary stay clear.

Essential reading for the modern practitioner
Where to begin? This book brings together a really diverse group of writers and the result is an inclusive and intersectional look at the vast array of practices, experiences and challenges within the Craft. You've got discussions of ethical practice, accessible practice, decolonising your practice, and practicing as a queer individual. So much good stuff to unpack. Be prepared to learn, be challenged and also to be seen as a marginalised practitioner.Highly recommended for anyone seeking to learn and be better in their own practice and supporting others in theirs. Also good for anyone of a pagan leaning not just witches!

Fascinating and diverse selection of essays
This is a really interesting and diverse series of essays on witchcraft. Picked it up after thoroughly enjoying Tarbuck’s A Spell in the Wild and looking forward to her essay, but without any particular expectations about the rest of the contributors. Yet, this transpires to be an incredible collection of writing. Brilliant, insightful and accessible both for those who practice witchcraft and people with more of a casual interest.Definitely recommend!

Modern perspectives on spirituality
Was hoping there was more focus on the "craft", but I do appreciate reading the opinions of people I've never heard of before. I would love if in the second edition the author included influential author's voices on the topic of "witchcraft".

No ethics?
I just received it, and read some parts, so bear that in mind. There's no ethics in it, there's no questioning. It's "woke" and won't even care to ask, "is this belief substanciated by reality?" "Gender critical" doesn't equal to "right wing". It's almost like this book has only one theme in mind, that what many call "trans ideology". Isn't modern witchcraft supposed to be about finding one's beliefs? To question onself? To question one's actions and beliefs? It's not ethics, it's some stories told by poets and tarot readers without an attempt to be even a little tiny bit scientific.
