The Source for Everything Jewish Christian
I loved this book. It put together a life's work into one place. I read with joy Dr. Bejarano Gutierrez discussion of the continuance of Jewish Christianity after the Bar Kochba Revolution. And then we got to the Karaites and even the Muslims. I was just sure that he was going to go on and look at where he should go next. Jewish Christianity did not end in the 10th Century. There is no way that the strong presence of Jews in Spain in the 10th through the 15th century can be ignored. And when many of them chose to remain in the country becoming conversos, you are going to have a great deal of difficulty convincing me that at least part of the reason was not that they loved Yeshua and his Jewish Christianity. As late as 2010, we find secret Jews intimately involved in the Catholic Church in Taos and Santa Fe New Mexico. A priest appears on the front page of the religion section of the New York Times on the first day of Chanukkah with a Chanukkiyah on his desk and story about a secret family that for 5 centuries had hid their Judaism even to the point of becoming nuns and priests in Catholicism. Jewish Christianity is coming back. It is about to smash into the Messianic Jewish Community and correct the false teachings of Paul and their founders. Jewish Christianity will return before the Meshiach comes which praise G-d will be soon.Read this book. It tells you a story you have never heard and that story will leave you wanting more. Read this book and have your entire viewpoint on Christianity changed. I dare you.

Nice Book, Self Published + Print on Demand
Just received the book last night and started reading. First thing that is clear is this book is self-published. Also this is a print on demand book that was printed the day I ordered it. As to the comments by many about editing maybe the author did not bother to engage an editor but I certainly hope someone proofread this. The subject matter is interesting and I'm looking forward to reading more. The cover is beautifully designed and illustrated but there is no credit for that. I also appreciate very much that the notes are at the foot of the page and not buried in the back. Detailed table of contents but the index is pretty much useless.

The FORGOTTEN Jewish Element in Christianity!
Well-researched, and well organized. Dr. Bejarano-Gutierrez uses his sources judiciously and with respect to the opposite side of the argument.Highly recommend.

A Lot of Great Content, But Very Poor Editing
I loved so much of the content this book brings out, but there was so much misspelling, jumbled thoughts and repeated quotes. However, it was well worth the time to read.

Informative and well researched
I particularly appreciated the authors notes to the text. I also liked how he presented the different groups chronologically, this helped clarify the progression of ideology in my mind. I appreciated the maps that showed the dispersion of specific belief systems in the world. Well researched and presented!

Thorough and Well Researched -- Great Read.
As is typical with this author, his research is detailed and comprehensive, and well documented. Forgotten Origins, more than 500 pages in length, covers considerable ground in showing the interconnections and lost connections between Judaism and Christianity.I have a Christian background and have myself been researching the history of the early Jesus movement, and find Gutierrez’s book invaluable, filling me in with considerable information from a Jewish point of view of which I find distinctly clear and inciteful, and neutral. Gutierrez has done a great service through his considerable research and documentation and he lays out the information in a friendly and easy to read way.I really appreciate this book, and I encourage anyone interested in a more legitimate understanding of Christian history to read it.

Informative and enlightening
Rabbi Gutierrez prompts 21st century Jews and Christians to reconsider the veracity of historiographical documents pertaining to the Jewish and Christian schism. Moreover, this comprehensive treatise accentuates a lucid chronological portal that examines religious and polemical ambivalences, while elucidating the political and socio rhetorical divisiveness endemic to the Jewish and Christian people of this era. Hence Forgotten Origins utilizes a myriad of concomitant elements from primary sources and guides readers toward the acquisition of insight. Second, this book serves as an important conduit for healingpre existent gaps within Jewish and Christian religious belief nomenclatures. The latter infuses hope towards strengthening interfaith relations between Jews and Christians worldwide.Third, Rabbi Gutierrez challenges readers thinking, while stimulating a zeal for further inquiry.Fourth , this book is invaluable for students and lay people engaging in group discussion about the perpetuity of the Jewish and Christian schism. Moreover, Forgotten Origins enables rabbinical and ministerial professionals to acquire a deeper sensitivity about the religious, political and socio rhetorical trajectory of Jewish and Christian history. This provides rabbis, pastors and priests the opportunity to embrace the Jewish roots of Jesus Christ while contemplating the historiographical scope and influence upon the early church. Finally, I highly recommend Forgotten Origins, for it adds credible depth to the literature from the Second Temple period and illustrates intriguing echoes from the Talmudic, Mishnaic and New Testament writings. Moreover, the book examines Jesus' Messianic claims which stands juxtapose with the epistolary literature and its discourse from Paul, James and Peter within the first centur Roman milieu.Blessings and Shalom,Gregg L. Good review of subjects and issues
This book was a good review, lots of great information in it, though not a lot of info I didn’t know. It was written in an easy to understand style that makes it accessible to all. I bought a couple more kindle books from the author becouse I enjoyed this one so much.
