Last longer than expected

All my son wanted for Christmas was an excavator with track and this fits the bill. Unfortunately it did not work, even after charging the battery (which we checked in the working dump truck). The boy was about to cry, when the wife suggested instead of sending it back and having a disappointed boy for Christmas that I just fix the excavator (since I experience with electronics for a living). So I proceeded to take the excavator apart and discovered 2! broken solder joints one on the power switch and the ground wire to the controller board. This fixed the excavator and my son jumped for joy and ran off to play with his desired toys. Fixing it turned out to be a great learning experience for my son and he was more than happy to help with the repairs. The excavator works well and he is really excited to play with it all the time.

I bought a full set of excavator, dump truck and wheeled loader/bulldozer for my Grandkids. They work really well on carpeted or wood floors, using marshmallows for "boulders", but they did not perform well in the sandbox - no real power to move any amount of sand, and had difficulty moving in the sand. Inside, however, they are a lot of fun and are very responsive to the controls!

Excavator looks cool. Had a problem with one of the tracks that continued to come off every time my grandson would use it. One of the wheels on that runs the track would work it way off. So I decided to use a drop of super glue to hold the wheel on. Problem fixed. Grandson happy.

I bought this thinking i could get some real joy out of it. Its not terrible but way under powered than i assumed. It doesnt scoop well unless your using very soft light substance. The battery also doesnt last nearly as long as i would assume given the fact it doesnt move very fast. I am a collector of many RC toys and this honestly is defiantly for a child. It does bulldoze to some extent but often gets stuck and wont move. I gave it a 3 star because i wasnt impressed with its digging ability.

It's kind of pricey for what it does and how its built, but all in all the kids are happy with it. This is for the excavator which has the same build quality as the dump truck, but is almost double the price

Overall good product. Lots of fun to play with my son has learned a lot about machines from it and the thousand questions from it.

Bought as a Christmas gift for my son. He loved it. Sometimes the truck will get stuck when it’s turning. And sometime the truck will start moving on it’s own like someone was controlling it.
