Mounting plate fits and holds red dot on fire arm when there is no red dot cut in your slide I love this product helped with my p320 build and no problems with it moving so helps to hold zero by not letting the red dot move on the fire arm just make sure what ever mounting plate you get is the same kind of cut or foot print as the red dot your going to use

This adaptor plate was not too hard to mount once the original rear sight on the Sig Sauer P226 was removed. My SightMark Red Dot mounted easily. The sight would not adjust low enough to zero. This could have been a problem with the sight or the mounting plate but I was never able to resolve the problem. The mounting plate was replaced and paired with a Crimson Trace CTS-1250 and it worked perfectly. I would highly recommend this seller and the DPP Titanium sight mount for the Sig Sauer P226.

Hard to install without special tools

Nice one solid piece of metal seems like titanium with different screws fits the vortex venom red dot like a glove waiting for pusher to do my first install on a p320c ( ok it was my granddaughters red dot dry fit mine is coming snail mail.) Pamphlet says it comes with a trijicon sealing plate and it didn't but I'm not a fan anyway. I'm just glad it comes one solid piece and not with the bar type. Both ends of bar are tapered so should make your install easier.

Made putting a red dot on my non CNC P320 extremely easy and I love the look and feel. Great addition.

Mount is made of aluminum while the, supplied, screws are steel: the threads stripped and detached before reaching 12in-lbs of torque when attempting to mount a Burris FastFire 3 red dot. Do not buy.

First, I tried their mounting plate on my CZ75; see my review of that plate as the outcome was top shelf. With that, I decided to indulge my W. German P226 with the similar red project. Lightning has struck twice and their plate for the 226 is just as superb! I highly recommend DPP red dot mounting plates!

I got this just the other day and was excited to try it out. I have to say, installation went pretty smoothly...for a Sig. If you're never changed sights on a handgun before, or if you've done other models but never a Sig, prepare yourself for one of the hardest sights to change by any manufacturer. Most guns, Glocks, Springfields, Rugers, will push out pretty easily. Sig likes to cut their dovetails TIGHT. Make sure you have an appropriate hammer to install this with, ESPECIALLY on a Sig. If you use anything other than a nylon face hammer, you will almost certainly damage this on install. Even using a nylon face, I still managed to skip one of my strikes and put a wing-o in the metal. It was no big deal really, and took one of my small jewelers files and filed it flat again. It even looks like I got it pretty well centered. Most of the install time for this was smacking out the old Sig sight (eventually moving up to the proverbial "bigger hammer" to get the job done). Total time from frame disassembly to reassembly was probably an hour, with more than half that spent removing the old sight. Just be careful pressing or tapping this in. It's aluminum, so the wrong move will destroy it. There are videos to find if you've never done it before. In the end it was relatively easy and painless, in gunsmithing terms. My local gun shop isn't open on Monday, so tomorrow it's off to find an optic for this, and get some test time in. Finding a holster should be fun, too. If you want to have your slide machined for an optic, it's going to run you between $150-$250. At $23, or 1/10th the price of the machine work, this is an unbelievable bargain if it works and is reliable. Of course, I'll have to run a few hundred rounds through it to ensure its reliability, but will update this review with my shooting results when I get them done. If you're looking to save some bucks on putting an optic on your SP2022 (and if you own an SP2022, that sounds like a reasonable assumption) you've come to the right place. $23 bucks and an hour in the shop and all you have to do is screw on an optic and sight it in. As soon as I get an optic and an opportunity to test this, I'm going to see if it's fantasy, or reality. But for now, things are looking pretty good. I'll keep you all updated!
