very large file, with a large body of images
I like that the book is inexpensive with a large number of images from the Red Sonja comics. Maybe I am too old, I bought the book to look at the technique instead of the scantily clad woman. The book is great for my purpose. It has a variety of art styles to compare. There are also varieties in shading. Useful. Red Sonja herself? Naked woman with a sword. Not my cup of tea at this age.

Gorgeous Red Sonja art book!
This book is definitely better than Volume 1. Gorgeous cover illustrations and paintings by a diversified group of artists. Particularly, more female artists' works are included. They balance out their male colleagues' hyper sensual depictions of Red Sonja. As a long time fan, I am pretty happy that I had purchased this Volume 2.

Worth it, buy it.
I have to give this book a great review, the art work is top notch, love the amount of art in this book. I like seeing the various versions of the artists work. If you are a Red Sonja fan this is a must have book.

Great book full of art.
Fantastic collection of art for Red Sonja, only a few pages of brief history, everything else art. Very beautiful book.

Visions of a powerful, warrior woman.
The book begins with a two-page introduction by Roy Thomas who briefly discusses Red Sonja's evolution from her conception by Robert E. Howard up to the latest interpretations by artists such as Frank Thorne. The book contains cover art and illustrations from the Wrath of the Gods run in February 2010 up to the Red Sonja run of January 2016. Many artists grace this book with their work but, for me, the standouts are Lucio Parrillo and Jay Anacleto. The hardback itself is well made with sturdy binding and will open flat when placed on a flat surface. I have the first book and the art of Vampirella and Deja Thoris but this book surpasses all of them. Hopefully Dynamite will release a 'Women of Dynamite' art book including Jungle Girl, Purgatori, Chastity, Miss Fury and more. The art of Red Sonja 2 is very highly recommended.

It's an art book
Very nice indeed. It's a collection of covers (without all the writing) from the Red Sonja comic series with quite a few different artists contributingThis is a very nice book to have if you're interested in this kind of art

super book but quality control questionable
Took 3 attempts (about average these days) to get a version which was bound properly and not damaged. Amazon quality control is probably non existant, same as the padding they use for books.Great art book tho!

Pretty good
I loved most of the paintings of Red Sonja in this book, but there were quite a few that were more like pop art and I really didn't like them.

A beautiful collection of art on the She-devil with a Sword.
What a beautiful Art Book, I wish more Comic book companies did this! To be able to have all the covers and rarities minus all the titles and credits and on great quality paper make this book a treat! I am a massive Conan fan, however, new to Red Sonja, but once I started reading some of her comics by Dynamite (and now the Original team ups with Conan in the Conan Omnibuses released by Marvel) I just had to add this glorious book to my art/ concept book collection!!It also comes with a forward by Roy Thomas, the man who moved Sonya from a Robert E Howard story into the world of the mighty sullen-eyed Cimmerian. If you are a fan of Red Sonja, or of fantasy or of art in general this is one nice book to have in your collection!
