Q: Will this fit an 02 wrangler X? It has a soft top on it now so do I need to buy the windshield channel?

Yes, you will need to get the windshield channel. Other than that, it should work. Fits my 2004 perfectly. Best safari top I've ever purchased, very durable.

Q: lost the metal bracket that is used for the rear straps is there a way I can replace or purchase?

I don't use mine, I wrap the strap around the rollbar then wrap them up with 2"wide Velcro I purchased from home depot. I don't like the straps fluttering in the wind.

Q: Will this handle driving on the interstate daily going 70?

I’ve had this top on my 2005 Jeep Tj for one year and have no issues. I don’t drive on the interstate daily but often. The quality of this top is very good and the price makes it a good value.
