Kids' Paper Airplane Book (Paper Airplanes)
T**S
Family standard gift / activity
These types of books have been in our family for decades. I'm not sure I'm familiar with this particular version, but it looks quite good. The color punch-out models look very interesting. The adult may have to help out an 8 yr old.

Quality Book for Kid's Airplanes
Nice colorful book of airplane to cut out and fly.Advertised as: SEEM CORRECTDistilling the innovation, science, and enthusiasm of their first book-The World Record Paper Airplane Book-world record holder Ken Blackburn and mechanical engineer Jeff Lammers present The Kids' Paper Airplane Book.Written and designed for younger paper pilots, it has simpler planes with brighter, bolder graphics; games, activities, and fun aviation facts (the "A=Alpha, B=Bravo" pilots' alphabet, for example); and everything kids need to fold and fly. They will learn how to design their own planes, do stunts, and build a 3-D airport with stuff found around the house, and they'll discover that the largest aircraft ever flown wasn't a plane at all. There are 16 models and 76 full-color planes in all, a full-color poster of an airport, a pilot's license and flight log, and a field guide to common aircraft. But the irresistible attraction, as in the grown-up version, are the planes themselves: The Count, The Dragon, The Manta Ray, The Slice, The Aerobat, the Saturn Rocket. Plus the chance to be the next world record holder.Selection of the Doubleday Kids' Club. Great Birthday Gift That Never Goes Out of Style!
I first bought one of these for my then 6 yo son. He enjoyed it so much that I bought one for his friend's birthday. Finally, the light bulb went off and I bought a bunch more to have instant gifts for the plethora of birthday parties he gets invited to during the year. Boy, am I glad I did that! The cost is great, no one else ever gives the same gift, it is easily transportable, doesn't require batteries, entertains for hours without beeping or playing annoying music, and is educational (Okay, I admit that "educational" can be the kiss of death for a kid gift, but The Kids' Paper Air Plane Book is a fun gift that happens to incorporate some educational value, not some geeky educational bore of a toy that is briefly entertaining). Even the stray kid who didn't seem to "get it" at first, soon fell in love with this book. I am about to order 6 more. I need another 2 for my boys (ages 6 and 9) and 4 more as gifts. These never go out of style. BTW, I turn into Cool Mom whenever I am able to help them with any plane struggles. That doesn't happen to my 9 yo anymore. He now even makes his own awesome airplanes out of plain paper, while his non-plane-making peers look on in amazement! Definitely a gift winner! It's also easy to wrap, which is no small thing in this world of oddly-shaped packages.

Kids love these and itβs an excellent time filler
I got these for our two boys over Christmas break. My brothers and I had the same type of book growing up and it seems like paper planes are timeless. They have spent days now experimenting and learning to make them do tricks. If you want to have some fun for a party game or teach your kid about aerodynamics I really couldnβt think of a better book

Go fly a ... um... plane
My boy enjoys making paper airplanes. Bought this as an alternative to a book on making your own. This includes pre-printed plane pages, cut, fold and fly. Be forewarned, you may need a paperclip or two and some tape to complete each of these. The paper is a little flimsy, thus my 4 rating. But overall, each was good for a few minutes of creative fun with my son, and then some flying fun. Pre-printed airplanes are a nice change-up from white paper. If these were on heavier paper, the book would certainly have been a five for me. But even though it wasn't, dad, buy your kid a paper airplane book, build it with him and fly it with him... it'll only take 20-30 minutes (5 to build, the rest for flying), but it'll be like hours for your kid!

Absolute CRAP: NOT suitable for children
I purchased this paper airplane book for my grandchildren to replace a previously purchased book of paper airplanes that they had used up. THIS book is full of satanic symbols, other dark symbolism, and otherwise unsuitable content for children. BEWARE. Waste your money elsewhere.

Very good book
Great book for keeping child entertained. Most of the planes actually fly really well. I do have to help my child make them.

Good Buy
Bought as a gift for a 12 year old and I'm told he was excited to start making the planes. There are so many paper plane books it was hard to decide so I narrowed down to 3 and because of age, chose this one as it seemed like a good all around, easy to understand book for introductory of building paper airplanes. I was trying to find some interest for the kid so if he ends up liking this a lot, I might purchase the more in depth and core mature paper planes book for him in the future. Item arrived in a timely matter and good clean condition.

Good resource for teaching!
I bought this as a resource for my class as I am a primary school teacher and we were studying flight. There are some teaching points on drag, thrust etc with good pictorials for children to understand. The planes were a really good starting point for the children to create their own airplanes out of paper and were able to create their own with ease after making those in this book! It really created a lot of enthusiasm for paper plane flying. There is a template in the book too which you can use to create certificates for those children who become expert plane 'inventors' and 'pilots'. Loved it...will buy one again for next year's class!

Colourful planes, but paper is too floppy and they don't fly
This was very disappointing. Lots of planes which are very colourful, but they are fiddly to cut out and once you do they fly very poorly. Mostly, the paper is too floppy and they don't hold their shape. You are better off with one of the other paper aeroplane collections.

plane making
The diagrams were far too difficult to follow, different colours would have helped plus more step by step simple to follow pictures. As a novice I was no wiser, and no better at plane making.
