Of course they are not tooled leather gauntlets, but they look very nice for a costume you will probably only wear once a year. It appears that it is real leather, just a thinner leather than tooling leather. All the rivets seemed to be nicely done. I think for $17 they are well worth it.

Purchased two pair to complete Roman soldier costumes for church play. These worked out very well. I would buy them again without hesitation.
